Pre Round and Post Round NorCal Golfwrx Tournament Pictures!

Thanks to Johnny for setting this up at Poppy Ridge. 1 hour frost delay but, still turned out to be a pretty good day weather wise because the wind stayed down. We took over half the range for demo and swing speed readings for about an hour. I don't have the score cards cause they were confiscated from me as to prevent Internet Posting.

I can say that either Joey/Bennet had low round, Mike(Pole Position) had the longest drive, and I had the highest round. It was great to meet everybody and hopefully we can get another one going again. There were some great prizes given out. Ashworth shirts, a Scotty Cameron Tee, 5 golfwrx covers, and some people claimed some good size skins...

There was also a booby award that we cannot mention on this site but, it was a rare first edtion Headcover that now belong to Jeff(Placebo)...

Mike and Jeff came all the way from the Sacramento area and I hope they made it back Ok.

I played with Mike, Jeff, and Jim and they were all great guys to play with. Mike and Jim played from the tips and Jeff and I played from the whites.

Jim Won 2 of the closest to the pin and I won one of them. Bennett won the low score despite how he did it At least he throw me off for the first 3 holes

Mike won the long drive.

I have no excuses being sick and play bad w/ the iron that i never played it before, we still have a lot of fun played golf w/ a bunch of nice people. You guys from the East cost should not be jealous.

Clarification: The cash given to Joey was for past services, not any bet on the course. If that were the case, cash would have been going the opposite direction!

I had a blast meeting the guys and trying all the sweet tour gear. A special thanks to Joe for putting up with the all the questions. Joe your a good sport letting all us clients go on and on about all this goofy HO'ing.

I know the guys in cold weather areas are getting no play, but DANG it was COLD out there.

I agree wholeheartedly - Thank you very much Johnny for setting up a really fun day. But it was f'in cold out there. Thankfully the wind didn't blow too hard.

You guys look a little cold though. I can't imagine wearing so much clothes on a golf course here in Honolulu!

I had a great time, well worth the drive (which wasn't that bad). Nice golf course, very challenging from the tips.

Things I learned:

You can hit the ball well and still have your butt kicked by a golf course

I don't have to worry about scraping up $300 for an SQ (not for me )

I've got the hottest driver on the market - I was hitting the ball 320 yds with a 105 mph swing speed according to the launch monitor - who am I to argue?

You can't leave a 17 year old daughter alone for more than 15 minutes Sorry I had to take off so soon, everything's OK.

Great bunch of people, super job setting it up. Count me in on any future (hopefully spring/summer) events

Thanks guys... it was fun... great to see you all struggling on a course I play alot, makes me feel not so bad about my game. Yes the tips are tough and that's why I usually play the blues, but it was fun from the back.

Glad everyone had fun....good prizes and giveaways... decent skin money, not won by me... (I knew I should have eagled #9 for the $$$.)..yes we need to do this again in the spring/summer then we can have the other end of the spectrum..(100+ degree heat)

Micheal : the launch monitor sometimes misses SS...but pretty sure it got your ballspeed pretty close since it had you at 320 yards..your SS in up there.

I think it's only fair that we recogonize the component guy ( Pole Position) out drove every one of the high priced Fuji juiced exotic tour drivers we could muster.

All I can say is that ProForce V2 shaft I won in a Golfwrx contest really makes the combo work - long and straight...what a great site!!!

Sounds good, we've had 3 outings in the UK setup on on another Forum, but most of those guys also frequent this board, I agree, you meet a load of like minded guys who love golf and love talking about golf, we've got another planned for next year, Woburn for if there are any UK GolfWRX members that want to come along, PM freded (if he's a member here) or PM me and I'll put you in touch with him, if the last three are anything to go by this one should also be awesome.

I was in full gear the beginning.. winter beenie, etc etc.. the rain pants were really good at keeping my warm though..

i had an awesome time. hard course for a first timer. man, those bunkers were rough. hurt my back bad!!! hopefully we'll do it agian and i can be apart of it, but with a better game.

I'm not sure i was awoke when i answered all those questions, I was awoke only the last 5-6 holes.

definitely looked like a good time and i'm quite jealous that you guys still have decent weather... yesterday it was a high of 50 i think around here but it was wet and windier than sh!t... i also can't wait for the midwest outing next year, what's the most recent word on that? are we going to get any of you westerner/easterner's to come out??
