I played there on 9/11. It was in really good shape. It was hard to tell that the PGA had even been there. All of the grandstands and corporate tents were gone. The grass wasn't trampled down and the greens were in really good shape.

I've played there twice now and it's always a first class experience. Of all of the places I've played the opening hole at Southern Hills is my favorite.

I'm not sure I'm the best person to give course strategy advice. My best advice is try to get a feel for the speed of the greens. It's one of those courses where you feel like you shoot 75-76 and end up with and 85-86.
