Nice pics! Thank you!
Can you say anything about how the insert feels?

It's definitely firmer than the XG (which I absolutely love), but not as firm as something in the DFX line.

Those look great! Thanks for the Pics. That looks like Strikers model, though I know he uses the older model, odyssey is really stepping it up.

Nice putter. But, I think the Black Series better looks cleaner with it's simple colors on the head cover and grip.

The putter designers at Odyssey have been very busy as has the production facility.
These putters are extremely nice looking. Can't wait to see how they roll.

Is the finish on these more of the "flamed" finish or is it just like the other production putters now?

Yes, they're more of a darker finish than the current models.

Has anyone had an opportunity to try this putter? How does it feel compared to the TriHot #2 (the one no longer made)

They are customizable from odyssey...last I heard...different weights for different lengths.

They just might have something for everything.

Odyssey has gotten smart. They have decided to increase the headweight as the length of the putter gets shorter.

Nice, they finally did that. I added a bunch of lead tapes for my shortened white steel putter.

Tried out a White Hot Tour #2 34" @ 355 grams in the pro shop last weekend. Absolutely the best feeling blade-style (it's a Zing type) putter I have ever hit with! fantastic feeling, sound and weight. A real winner. Too bad my Mezza Monza has got built in laser sight!

I bought the 33" #2 yesterday. The head is 355 grams. I love it! It was $149, so not too bad on the wallet. Definitely worth a try.
Golf Magazine liked it too:

balanced with toe facing down. It's almost exactly like the Ping Zing. It's definitely not face balanced.

I've tried a couple models. The quality of these putters (the ones I've seen) is really bad. Grips are not on straight and shafts appear to be installed poorly. Lie's are very very flat. Dont' know where they were made, but IMO terrible quality.

I've always been a blade guy too, but 3 weeks ago bought the rossie tour model and since then i have improved my putting especially within 3-5 feet around the hole.
The Rossie head is not too big for a mallet. It has a 355 grams head on a 33" shaft. Great putter and have no problems with the quality of the putter. The only gripe i have about it is that it comes with a BLADE style headcover and it really doesn't fit well.
Another complain that i hear people say is that the head is too bronze colored. Believe me, once you start holing in putts, you become color blind like me.

What's the real difference between the regular and tour? What made you go with the tour version?

I went with the tour version because of the heavier head weight which to me translated to higher MOI. This really helped me cause now i rarely miss short putts - compared to when i was using a blade type putter.
Also the face insert on the tour was also firmer - same as in the black-i series. It felt better to me than the regular rossie. The 3 white alignment aids also looked great at address = confidence.

The White Hot Tour insert is much firmer then the traditional White Hot and White Hot XG inserts. I has a similar feel to a stainless steel face.
I love my White Hot Tour #2! I am not much into putters with face inserts but this has a much firmer feel than any other insert out there.
I am thinking of trying a UST Frequency Filtered putter shaft in it just for kicks.

I had the opportunity to roll one in the store yesterday.
I like the overall look of the head and have always thought that Odyssey puts out a quality product. While the insert is a little firmer, it's still a bit soft for my preferences...I couldn't get a good feel for a mishit or distance control. I also would agree with others that the TOUR label is a bit obnoxious almost to the point of "trying too hard"...
Anyway...I like the overall look and many people will like this putter series, but I'd probably go with the Black Series strictly on feel...putting is always a personal preference.

Has anyone compared the Black Series i against the White Hot Tour? I'm in the market for a new putter and am drawn to two models and two inserts:
- Rossie 33" White Hot Tour
- Rossie 33" White Hot XG
- 33" #7 White Hot XG
- 33" #7 Black Series i
The XG insert feels great for short putts but I find it a little inconsistent from longer range.
The Black Series i looked and felt the part, giving better long range consistency but lacking just a little in the short putts. Is it really worth double the money?
The Tour insert felt much better all round (a nice middel ground) but I'm drawn to the #7 shape
I've always neglected taking care in selecting putters leading to a garage full of 'wrong purchases'.
Anyone got any advice?
Thanks
