My glove size is a Medium Cadet in Foot Joy, and I have been using either standard OEM grips, or a medium Iomic grip. I'm curious if anyone has tried using a larger putter grip with out going to something like a Super Stroke, and how it's worked out for you.

TIA

I put a larger grip on my putter, and it worked wonders. I used a Winn grip, medium or large, not sure which. Anyway, it's helped me out a lot. The best grip I've ever seen on a putter is my father's putter. This thing is huge. It's real old and I can't find where to buy it anymore. But I loved using my Dad's putter with it. It's fantastic. With putters I do believe bigger is better when It comes to the grips.

I noticed that the narrower my grip the more prevalant and severe my pull becomes. I think the smaller grip makes it to easy to twist the putter head. It's like the difference in steering on and F1 car versus a school bus and when it comes to putting I think the less steering the better, no? I have tried the PING grip like Tiger uses and found much better results with a Winn AVS MidSize or OverSize. I did also try the 2Thumb grip like Appleby is using and it actually worked quite well but I pulled it off to try another tactic in desperation.

Lamkin jumbo putter grip, I have it on 2 of my putters. I was turned on to this grip long time ago by one of the local pro.
If you not sure about the huge grips K J is using, this is nice. It took my wrists movements out of the putting strokes.

I have to agree.
I used my friends putter that had an oversize putter grip. And when I made putts with it, I noticed that I handled the putter more in the palms of my hands, and it eliminated my fingers from manipulating the stroke by pulling it. Also, I can't remember where I read the same analysis that the bigger grip, eliminated the tendency of the fingers to alter the shot, and simplified using arms and shoulders to put a consistent stroke on the ball.
