I've always been a big fan of Ping Scottsdale Anser style putters. Currently, I have a Copper Scottsdale, a Nickel Scottsdale, and an Anser F with the Ti pixel face. I'm seriously thinking about picking up a custom putter from 350milled, and was considering a floating face model. I've never actually used a putter with a floating face, and just wanted to get some input from everyone on that subject. I'm assuming it creates a different sound and feel...

They do create a different sound/feel.

The sound slot putters with a through cut tend to make a slightly higher pitched sound at impact, to some that higher pitch translates into a more "crisp" feeling.

They also create louder audible feedback on whether the ball was hit in the sweetspot (because the sound will chenge slighty as the ball is struck toward the heel/toe from center).

The putters without sound slots are generally perceived as feeling "softer" and producing a more muted sounding "click".

Thanks a lot. That's pretty much what I thought, I'd just never used one. I don't see much info on the Byron putters online, but I sure do like the pix I've seen. If possible, please PM me some more info.
