You can't use these for a competitive round -can you?
Would these be considered as an artifcial device to aid in swing.

While I am not sure of the rules governing this, it looks like just a compression short to me. I don't think that would be illegal. To me they would serve the same purpose as a knee or elbow brace. And I've seen tons of Champions Tour players wearing and elbow strap. In fact, Nike just released a compression sleeve similar to the basketball sleeve worn by Iverson as a golf item (at least it was in TGW).

Just because it says it can aid in your swing doesn't mean it will, so probably not a swing aid.
Actually should be considered along the same lien as the Nike SP-8 golf shoes. They supposedly gave Tiger 10 more yards and put him a better position to swing but weren't banned or deemed illegal.
