I'm coming down to play with a friend of mine this week, and just looking for any feedback on the course-thanks...

My friend from work plays there every now and again. Its my understanding thats its your typical 25 dollar municpal course. Narrow-ish fairways make it a little more challenging, but its nothing spectacular.

Nothing special. I haven't played there in a couple of years, but my guess would be that its suffering from the same drought issues as most courses in this area.

It's a good muni-type course, not anything to go out of your way for. Courses to go out of your way for in the area include:

Verdict Ridge - on the other side of Lake Norman (west)
Northstone - Huntersville; semi-private
Skybrook - northeast Charlotte
Rocky River - Concord (near Concord Mills mall)

Kind of a side note, but I saw a few of the holes at Charlotte Country Club this past weekend and it is going to absolutely blow people away. New bunkering, a lot of new greens, new tee boxes, elimination of cart paths except for around the tees, 7450 yards par 71 with only 2 par 5's. Look for it the get back in the top 100 for the first time since the 90s

FYI...Northstone is completely private...has been that way since the day it started.
