Traveling out there in a few weeks and wanted to see what solid courses are close by. I really do not want to travel further than 10-15 miles. Thanks!

It has been a while since I lived in LA (grew up there)... but I know of nothing great near the airport.

South to Palos Verdes would be the closest to Play Trump's new course, but it is pricey. Can you better define what you're looking for (value, top of the line, etc.)?

a course that the green fee is $50-$80 that is not a goat ranch, but not a top tier. So I guess you could say a middle of the pack course. Thanks

If you want to savor some golf history ,about 15 minutes south on the 405 is Dominguez Hills executive ,the par 3 couse that a young Eldrick Woods played hundreds of rounds on .this is where he would go after school and play into the night (they have lights)honing his skills little by little ,shooting par there at age 7 ,diligent in his efforts to overtake the legend....JAck Nicklaus............. But ,executive courses suck ,so ,nevermind

There are two courses that I would recommend in your price and distance range. I would give the nod to the Palos Verdes course but both are muni's and can be crowded and slow on the weekend. That's the problem with LA... lots of CC's and Muni's, not much else (especially in your price range).

I used to play Rancho a lot. They also have a three par at the same facility. Nice, mature course, but packed on weekends. Hope this helps.

Los Verdes Golf Course, Los Verdes Course
18 holes over 6,651 yards with a par of 71
7000 Los Verdes Dr
Rancho Palos Verdes, CA 90275
(310) 377-7888

Rancho Park Golf Club, Rancho Park Course
18 holes over 6,585 yards with a par of 71
10460 W Pico Blvd
Los Angeles, CA 90064

I think you have that course confused with Heartwell in Long Beach

It's also comma space, rather than space comma.
