I am going to leave for Golfsmith with my dad in about 20 minutes. I'm not even on the road yet and I have an urge to buy something, although I don't really NEED anything. I may get something, I may end up resisting the urge. Is this a sign of true love for golf? Does anyone else have this feeling sometimes?
Am I normal?

I would say most of the people on this forum have that urge, including me! And yeah I would say that is a true love for golf or at least golf equipment lol.

Hey my name is pete and for my sake you should buy something.
some options that are always decent:
- gloves, balls, socks, a hat, shoes (if you rotate them), spikes....
If you have more money to waste and need a fullfilling venture:
- new bag, replace a wedge, hybrid or 5 wood? shirt or shorts on sale....
Happy shopping, i wish there was a golfsmith near me.

I ended up productless, my dad needed to hurry home for some reason, although he's usually just as urged to blow money there as I am.
I'll get some stuff next time.
Actually, now that I look back, I got tees today.

When I walk into my local golf store, it is almost like an episode of Cheers- because they all know my name, and they know that when I bring my wife to act like they have never seen me!

Well, I'm only 15 and I don't have much else to worry about, I have a well paying job and I play golf once a week and go to the practice range and green once a week. I decided if I see something I feel like I need I'm going to get it, if it's what makes me happy, why not?

So true, but I know better than to bring my wife. She'd probably go into the 'ol "Do you really need that and it cost how much" routine.

Well she golfs too, so sometimes I HAVE to bring her. Its not that bad though, I like to golf with her and I buy most of her equipment (after a proper fitting of course) so her concept of what things cost is a bit skewed. I had nothing to with that of course
