Wow that really sucks, I've driven past that course multiple times when visiting my parents' house.
I hope they get 'em.

That's BS! There are too many ignorant people anymore. I hope they get caught. Keep us up to date.

my gosh. this is incredibly upsetting.
this type of ignorance is one i just cannot stand. rather than the perps getting caught, i'd rather them just play in traffic on the freeway. please god don't let them breed.

That is awful.
I hope they don't watch the news and go after the witness or his house. Personally if I lived on the course I would not volunteer to go on the news like that.

We had similar happening around here several years ago.
One case was caused by an ex-employee, whom use a riding lawn mower with a hole in the brake fluid tank to spray the liquid on the green.
one case was copy cat by some local teeagers, bored of the long Summer, so they drove an off road vehicle on the greens and tee boxes to tear up the turf.
Hope the recovery is speedy for you guys.

that course looks like its in rough shape even without the vandalism. is it still over 100 degrees down there? i was down in myrtle a month or so ago and it was like 110-115 everyday

That is awful.
Our local country club was vandalized a few weeks ago. They took shovels to the greens on two holes and just dug up spots all over the greens.
This rash of course vandalism has got to stop sooner or later.

I thought the same thing...I would not have been interviewed if I was up there when the news crew was....and I certainly would not share where I live.....no updates yet....in a small town like Greenville, it is a matter of time before someone turns them in them. Will keep you posted.

The course is actually in good shape. They installed huge fans on many of the greens that were feeling the pain of 100+ degree temps and they were in great shape rather quickly. Still have a couple more fans being installed, but the 100 degree days are over so the brutal heat is gone....

I am embarrassed. As a fellow South Carolinian those symbols should never be used or even mentioned in today's day and age except in rememberance of man's ability to be cruel or empathic. I do hope they are caught and educated properly of what the National Socialist party of Germany did and why it must never be allowed to happen again no matter what the cost. That's one thing that has always bugged me about neo-Nazis in the US. They have no idea what the word Nazi itself means nor what it implicates. They talk of freedom, but even by definition Nazism means slavery to the state.

Get Kimbo to guard the course at night... You get a youtube vid and the vandals won't think of doing it again.

I'll kick in an extra $100 if I get to talk to them before the law gets them. Just talk, honest. What's that? Sand wedge? What sand wedge? This sand wedge? Forgot I had it in my hand. Honest mistake.

We've had vandalism at our course too over the years.
Holes dug in greens and tees, and trail bikes used to rip up greens during the night by vermin.
Sadly, stringing piano wire across the approaches to the greens during the hours of darkness is outlawed...

To quote John Travolta in Pulp Fiction when someone keyed his car, "It would almost be worth them doing it if you could catch them."

Setting aside the golf course aspect, I can't even begin to express how much this sickens me.

my course is one side next to the beach the other side is parallel to a main coast road and on the side of the coast road is a huge caravan site so we have alot of vandalism from the majority of people of the camp and many others who use the beach as an escape route

Goat track I played this morning, some kids drove a cart or 4 wheller onto a green and drove over the flag, snapping it almost in two at cup level. But I still parred the hole, you little s-bags.
And mat562, that little guy is now 70 pounds and a hunting machine.
