WTF! I know its for a great cause but this doesn't happen very often. I have Direct TV and in Louisville this is what I will have to endure? Does anyone know a way around this? Any help will be appreciated!

Oh man ... that really sucks. Tomorrow is going to be an amazing day of golf. Four hours of Tiger head-to-head with Phil. Pro golf just doesn't get better than that.

Nice thought....but it would only be the case if they had already lapped the rest of the field. Hardly the case.

Whatever blows your skirts up I guess.

I'm a high school counsellor, so Labor Day is usually not the greatest and it means waking up early the next day for the first time in 9 weeks. ohmy.gif However, looking forward to the golf and letting it take my mind away from the end of the holiday. Canadian too, so I'm hoping Weir doesn't continue to fold up his tent; he needs a T7 or better, or he's done for the playoffs.

I'm in the same boat here in Louisville and I have insight cable. I'm freaking out right now! I've been trying to call WAVE3 and Insight to see what is going on.............I think this happened last year, and I didn't get a chance to watch the final round either.

The same thing happened to me a couple of years ago. I did some things around the house and left the TV on for a little while hoping it would switch to the golf coverage. At one point the local newscasters that were hosting the event said something like "The golf event is not going to be shown. Please do not call asking when the golf will be on."
I was so frustrated that I tried calling the station-not the telethon hotline, but the station itself. The operator told me I could be connected with the person who was in charge of the scheduling/programming but that the person's voice mailbox was already full. I guess some of my fellow golfers had beat me to it.
What the telethon people should do is offer to put on the golf as soon as donations reach a certain level. I'm guessing that some records could be set for $$$ raised in a matter of minutes.

channel 18 for me had it.

solid action in the final round. if only tiger could have made more putts.

I was scrolling through to record it today, and I almost freaked out.

Then I looked under the right station.

The same thing happened in the st. louis area today, and yesterday the cardinals game was on instead of the golf too

i know a lot of people who were not very happy

ok good. i wasn't the only one freaking out around here. got back from playing around 4:30 and expected to flip on the tournament... only to see the telethon was on. russian_roulette.gif

We get Louisville and Lexington Stations both here in Campbellsville. But only the Louisville stations are in HI Def. So I had to watch it on the Lexington station in regular tv, not even digital. The Jerry Lewis Telethon has been providing buses for handicapped children in Kentucky since the 60's. I can remember watching it in black and white back then. Since the accident in the mountains of eastern kentucky in the 60's that killed several children in snowy weather. Golf, baseball, football, even soap operas take a back seat to this program. It sometimes interferes with a persons viewing pleasure, but how many people from Kentucky has seen a school bus with big letters on it saying it was provided by this program.

I love it when Tiger doesnt win especially after one of his famous fist pumps or his pointing at the ball when its going in.He bugs the #$%^ out of me.After Phill beat him did he give Phil a smile or a pat on the back? HELL NO!!!! He is not a gracious loser.
When Nicklaus went head to head with Watson they always embraced after their great duels. Jack never "fist pumped" he was just a class act.Tiger needs to grow up!!

How? He show emotions and is a great competitor. He does not need to "grow up" IMO.
