Tiger Woods is set to announce his first USA Golf Course desing tomorrow....with heavy advertising during the Fedex Cup. It will be located in The Cliffs community in the Carolinas. All of the courses I have played there are outstanding....and the views from the mountains are awesome. Tiger apparently sought out the Cliffs and decided on this location after aerial tours of the land. A new parkway will be developed to get to the area that this course will be located.....

Cool, TGC was hyping a "big announcement by TW", I figured it had something to do with course design. I wonder if this will distract him or affect his play?

After the way having a baby, and not having a major under his belt this year was "distracting" him over the weekend... It wont be a bad thing wink.gif

Should be interesting to see how it turns out. If he builds courses like he plays, it should be nothing short of awesome.

I have played The Cliffs at Glassy there several times. It is one really awesome track. It is one of my all time favorite courses...

Where in NC is that course above exactly? thanks

The course I listed isn't actually in North Carolina. Its on Glassy Mountain right outside of Greer, SC which is very close to Greenville, SC. Its a private course. But it is worth the hassle to get on it. I have managed my tee times out there by just getting the pro at my home course to call and set it up.

Cool, thanks. Looks like a fun course!

True....Glassy is a cool course to play (the pic with the drop off is #13).

If you get a chance to play there....I would shoot for Keowee Vinyards (one of the courses the Nationwide plays). #17 is a sight to be seen...I am sure someone will post a picture....have one I will try to post. 240yd par 3.....blue lake and mountains for the backdrop....great hole. I have heard it is the most difficult rated whole on the Nationwide Tour. Great conditioning on every course I have played there......

Being in NC, I would love to get a chance to play there one day...
