I don't post much, pretty much a lurker. For the life of me, I often wonder why people post their accomplishments, as if anyone else would care. But, I just can't help myself, I finally broke par.
I am one of those guys that makes a lot of pars, not too many birdies, and manages to usually think myself out of a good round. I can play a little (current index 3.4), shoot tons of 74s, and 75s, but could never achieve my long-time goal of breaking through.
About 10 days ago, in a practice round for the U.S. Senior Am, I posted my first ever round of even par. Sadly, the tounament was a week later, because I shot a very embarrasing 90! One of these days I'll learn to handle the pressure of tounament golf. Yesterday, however, with my regular group, I finally put it together for a 70 (2 under). I backed it up today with another round of even.
Now I know why people post their accomplishments. Its called sharing, and this on-line community is like a second family.
