I saw Sergio Garcia wearing a TaylorMade/Adidas hat, particularly in the final round at the Open Championship, where there were cuts made where his ears are. I do not believe these were homemade cuts, I think they're made like this. It can be seen here:

FWIW, the warmup caps for major league baseball teams includes the cutout ear look this season. Personally, I dislike it.
