Why is it so hard to find a good Stand bag that can do double duty as a cart and a carry bag. I have a really nice cart bag with a 14 way divider and a putter tube and is really nice for when I ride, but I carry the majority of the time.

I had a Callaway Ultra Light 3.8 that was OK. It was light and easy to carry, the legs were good, but the opening was only 8.5" and clubs would always get stuck together. Also, if you put it on the back of a cart you could never get it on tight enough and it would just flap around on the back. Also, it's just a pain to always switch my bags back and forth depending on what I am doing that day (walk vs ride) so I want just 1 bag.

I purchased an Ogio Grom thinking this was the bag. Nice divider system, little strap for the cart, and a well thought out set of pockets. Problem is the legs are horrible and the iron section is only good for 9 irons and wedges. Any more than that and it's cumbersome to remove the clubs.

I must have spent almost 2+ hours trying to pick out a bag but had no luck. The Ping Vantage Extreme looked like a winner, but the body seems flimsy and looks like it would bunch up on the back of a cart. Also the fuzzy top looks like it will get messed up quick.

Every Callaway bag seemed like a piece of junk. The Warbird XTT's straps are horrible, the XTT Xtra Lite is a joke, the Terra Firm X has a silly setup for dividers, and the Terra Firm XI is way too expensive for that bag.

Looked at the Sun Mountain MPB which seemed like a logical option, but something about it just screams to me that I won't be happy with it. The padding over the top of the legs looks like it will get messed up in < 5 rounds. Also, it seems a bit large and/or cumbersome to carry around for 18 holes.

I like the Titleist X78 and X76 bags, but with only 9" opening I'm concerned it will be a tight fit if I carry more than 1 hybrid.

The only bag I liked was the Nike Xtreme Sport Stand Bag. The dividers seem well placed, it's light enough to easily carry, the legs seem strong enough, but the oval shape doesn't seem like it will attach to a cart very well.

Any other bags I'm missing out there? Anyone have the Nike Xtreme bag and find it works just fine on the back of a cart? Thanks.

My Hoofer Vantage is a great carry bag and is also a great cart bag. Ive had it for a few months using it almost every day and the fuzzy part is in mint condition. I highly recommend it.

That's good to hear, so you've had no problems with it binding together when strapped to the cart?

its tough to find a good one because they are all pretty much the same design, so if one sucks, most others will as well. it would be nice to find one that goes on a cart though

Most bags have one good unique feature, but for some reason they can't seem to combine them all into one.

I'd take the divider system of a datrek vibe/ bennington quite organizer, (With an extra putter well/15th slot.) The pocket system of the mizuno twister. The carry mech of the shling, or the One up Dual strap by izzo. And padding for the back. Don't forget the details of a quick exterior ball pocket for a sleeve, tee holders, velcro for the glove, A truely Elastic oversized towel loop (not the tiny one ogio puts on), and good umbrella strap, a handle for lifting imout of the trunk, and a carry accessable water bottle (big enough to handle a regular sized gatorade.) Some sort of pass through for putting it on a cart and zippered up legs so they don't deploy. Add in the needs of a good stand mech and solid base, very lightweight (without the extra pockets) and a rain hood.

Is that really too much to ask for?

I found the Warbird XTT works really well on a speed cart........but the straps are kinda thin

I've also got a Titleist X66 ( last years X76), works ok on a cart , but clubs stick carrying or on a cart

Why don't we all just design one ourselves... take bits from your favorites and add them for the ultimate bag.. There are some computer/golf whizzes out there. Maybe we could submit it to a manufactuer and reap a real deal bag for a real deal golfer.

Patents, each of these little features usually have a patent to go with them.

Agreed, it is a wonderful Pings best stand bag to date.

i've never had a problem with a hoofer that i carried in high school and college or the sun mountain-made Titleist bags.

I have the nike Xtreme and it works well with a cart when i rode it for an outing.

I have preferred the Ogio stand bags. I currently have the Grom. I think they are priced okay and have great storage.

I have an ozone and it does its part on the cart. Very rarely do I take anything out of it while riding but i know what you mean.

I broke down and purchased the Nike Extreme bag. It seemed to have one of the better dividing systems for someone who plays lots of irons, legs were good, and the price was right.
