I'm currently playing most of my golf with a little pencil bag, but I'm looking to get a new, more substantial carry bag for winter/autumn use which will allow me to carry more kit like waterproofs etc.
The problem is, I'm left handed (well, shouldered) when it comes to carrying a bag; every bag, seemingly, is designed to be carried on the right shoulder - so for me the ball pocket and full-length pockets are on the wrong sides to be comfortable.
It was never a problem with the old Ping L8 bags which I've used for years, but the fancy strap arrangements always cause a problem now as they're shaped for the wrong shoulder quite apart from the pockets being 'wrong...'
I know Izzo used to make 'reversed' bags. Does anyone know if they still do? Or anyone that does?
Thanks for any suggestions.

I had the same problem a few years ago. I just bought a bag made for righties and started using it. I got comfortable with it after one round...It's not that bad of a change....I think that if I tried to use a bag for lefties now I would feel awkward...

i didn't even realize they make a bag for lefties..
seems kind of needless and silly. it's just a bag, carry it to your ball and hit your shot.

In years past I'd agree with you. I just carried a Ping L8 and made do with the clothes in the long pocket being against my body.
Modern bags though are different. Having an umbrella against your side is awkward, but the modern double/shaped straps mean that many bags are very uncomfortable/completely unusable on the wrong shoulder.
Try carrying one on the 'wrong' shoulder for 18 holes and you'll see what I mean.

Sun Mountain 3.5 is a good lefty bag that holds enough stuff for days when you need raingear or layers of clothing.
However, I've taken to the SM mini even though its righty. Tight squeeze for clubs but it really seems MUCH more then a 1 lb difference when I carry.

^--- agree with GC7. I am left shouldered as well and the sun mountain 3.5 is the bag that i use. I like it lot and has enough room to carry everything i need plus it is extremely light compared to some other bags.
