Maui. Kapalua side can be very windy. Wailea side less so. You can take the ferry to Lanai and play there if you like. I liked the Koele course the best on Lanai, but if you haven't played seaside courses in Hawaii the Manele course is great. My wife liked the Wailea Gold better than the Emerald even thought the Emerald is supposed to be lady friendly. She also loved the Koele course. I have not played the Kapalua side courses. I believe there is some construction going on there now, but I don't know how, if at all, it has anything to do with the golf course.
If you come to Oahu Turtle Bay Palmer course is my favorite. Turtle Bay is 45 minutes from Honolulu if you don't mind that. If you stay at Turtle Bay eat at 21 Degrees. The chef is outstanding.
Hope that helps. I'm sure you'll enjoy Hawaii.

Planning a trip with the wife to Hawaii...I wanted to get suggestions from the locals and anyone here who has played there. This is a Golf vacation...and some sightseeing second...
The wife does play golf so we will be playing at least 5 or 6 times and would like to mix it up.
Maui or Oahu?
Places we are considering are staying at the Kapalua and playing at the Plantation course maybe once or twice and try to get on at 2 of the 3 Wailea courses. Hopefully all three!
Also looking into Oahu and doing the Golf package at Turtle Bay.
We also looked at Lanai.
So to make it simple here is my question.
If you only had time for one island...which one would it be...and if you had five days to play which courses would you play?
Thanks!
