So I ALWAYS want to find shoes like golf shoes w/o spikes for dress or casual wear. I have never done it but just bought another pair of the Callaway X Chev shoes and want to just take the spikes off and wear them out....

Does this make sense?

They make spikeless versions of most of their shoes.

I wear a pair of black Nike Air TW (teaching shoes to the office). They are a dress shoe with Nike Air. Very nice and comfortable. They don't have spikes but have a higher traction sole.

But hey I'm the boss. I haven't worn my 360's in... yet!

I agree w/ AM92318... I have the Puma GTXs in white/baby blue and they're pretty sharp. They also have a lot of shoes w/o spikes that look great.

I worked with a guy who wore old FJ Saddles to work w/o spikes. Please don't do this.

Champs spikes sells street caps which fills the spike holes in your shoe...

LOL...

I got the winner here..

I was in a wedding party and one of the other groomsmen picked up the Tux's. Lo-and-behold, there were no shoes, like i had ordered, with my rental tux. The tux shop was a couple hours away as well. Since i had no back ups and neither did anyone else, i removed the spikes from my black Dry-Joys and wore them with the Tux. It was either that, or running shoes.

I really don't think anyone noticed. Until the church cerimony, where the preacher made us (wedding party) get on our knees infront of the congregation. I'm sure the golfers in the church noticed the 6 green circles on the soles of my shoes where the spikes go. lol

Anyways, no one cared, and they blended right in being black and all..

Sometimes I'll wear my golf shoes into the 7-11 after I play or practice if I don't have my regular shoes with me (or was too ticked off to change them), thank goodness for softspikes. But to put them on for casual or work wear - no, no, heck no.

No but I hear Ecco makes some very nice dress and casual shoes! If they are as comfortable as their golf shoes it might be worth getting a pair!

I often head over to the gym during my lunch break to grab a quick workout (with a 2 year old and a hectic job, sometimes that is the only time that I have). About a month ago after changing I realized I forgot to put my athletic shoes in the gym bag that morning. After looking at my options (brown dress shoes, bag the workout completely, or grab the adidas Tour 360s out of that car) I decided to go ahead and wear the golf shoes. Got quite a few looks and comments but was able to get through it.
