TaylorMade r7 425 8.5 degree smaller size head looks good and the club feels great

Cobra X Speed Pro D with an Aldila SVS6 shaft. I love this club, its 4*open which i love it totally takes the left side of the course out of play. I love the fact that i can hit this low or high whenever i want. The shaft makes this club great, its one of the smoothest shafts i have ever hit. This set up equals a high power rocket launcher!!!!

Another TM R7 425 TP here. A 9.5 with an Aldila VS Proto 80g X Stiff shaft tipped 1".

Why bacause it feels awsome. Had an r580 8.5 with an Aldila HM 40 Tour Gold 95g X Stiff shaft that was in my bag for a good while. It was the best driver that I had, still have it. There were only two things about that bugged me 1) after getting the VS shaft in my 3W the HM 40 felt way too whippy, and 2) the face seemed too closed.

I will be keeping this driver in the bag for a good long time.

Callaway Ft -5 Tour 9.5
Fujikura e 360 fit on stiff
Neutral weight set up

I tried a great deal of drivers at the first of the year, being it is golf weather here in California year round, and this driver stood out as a winner. I find the head is very forgiving yet workable. I like the control I get from the shaft and head combo. The trajectory is perfect. Now I am not a long hitter at all, but I can find loads of fairways at 260 yards out all round long with my Ft-5. The sound that bothers some will become not anoying in no time. The simple appearance of the head is first rate. Callaway's best driver to date IMO. If it was not this one the second place would go to the Ping G5 with an ALdila NVS shaft.

I played the ft-3 when it first came out and liked it a lot, then went ho 'n and never saw one again in the bag. I think the latest model the "Ft-5" is quite a bit better than the original ft-3, and the Fuji shaft is so perfect for me, I had it put in all my r7 ti fairway woods.
Now my one complaint is the head cover is the worst looking thing. I will not use it on the club. Who told the OEM's (now PING too) that burnt orange or a rust color is appealing?

I play the 905T with a V2 75G X flex. It came with a Speeder shaft and I didn't like the results I was getting. I got it reshafted as soon as the V2's came out and I love it. I got the 905T because it was the one I hit the best when I demoed 5 other drivers. Although I've demoed some other drivers in particular the Superquad TP and that might just end up in my bag sometime soon.

Titleist 983E with ACCRA SC-75.

Why?: I prefer the trajectory and feel face-loaded clubs such as my old Bridgestone J's Weapons and the 983E was familiar to me in that regard. The ACCRA SC-75 shaft is very accurate and the weight is such that I don't lose the club in my swing the way I did when I tried ~65 gram shafts. Also, I tend to miss the ball up and down on the face rather than fore and aft, so the deep face of the 983E gives me plenty of confidence.

The TaylorMade Spoon I play is also a face-loaded club so the 983E was a good match with it to my eyes - not too big.

Make: Titleist
Model: 905 T & 905 S
Loft: 9.5 in both
Shaft: Fujikura tour Platform X in both

Reason: I use the T most of the time, unless its realy windy ( like the norm in the UK) then i use the S as it brings the ball out on a slightly lower flight. Plus i havnt found any other driver that can make me leave em out of the bag.

I wish I could hit a driver to save my life. I hit my friend's R7 425 (i think it is a 425...smaller then the 460 head anyway) very well out to 280 and even hit a couple 300 par 4 greens before.

but most of the time it's 250 up the FW and then 75 yards right....i give up.

got rid of the big dog and tee off with a 14* hybrid and put it about 240-250 out there.

maybe someday i will be able to hit a driver....

Set up to the ball with your driver as normal. Feet parallel to the target line, ball opposite your left armpit, weight balanced and relaxed.
Now, turning your chest and arms together as if attached, move the club-head (and your sternum) back behind the ball about 5/6 inches. Look at a piece of grass just in front of the club face and swing over that place as if it were the ball. Try to square the club-face at that place, not at the ball. Don't look at the ball at all during the swing - only your bit of grass 5 inches behind. If you are suddenly drawing the ball too much look at a place closer to the ball and if you are fading it, which I doubt, look further back.
I used this to fix a friend's driving last week. He was the biggest slicer I have ever seen. 180 yards of carry, 50-60 yards left to right and enormously high and weak.
Have faith, you have nothing to lose. Set up, turn 6 inches behind the ball, relax, watch only you bit of grass throughout the swing and imagine that's where the ball is.
Only works with driver for obvious reasons.

Titleist 907D2 for me, 9.5 degree with a VS Proto 65S. It's the longest and most consistent driver I've hit, and I've pretty much hit them all.

You mean this?

The 1k pictured next to your garden variety R7 TP. The 1k is great for tempo drills.

FWIW I play a 12.5º SMT Indio mated to a reg Graman UL440 at 45.5" It's the best bat I've ever played.

I just replaced my driver with a FT-5 with Blueboard 63S. Great driver and this shaft is very smooth.

Im playing a burner now with a stock shaft. i was going to put an NV in it, but recently, ive been hitting just a real nice draw off the tee and i think im just gunna keep it how it is.

Callaway TOUR FT-5 Nuetral Weighting 9.5* with the stock Fujikura Fit On E-360 Stiff.
I have hit most everything on the market thanks to friends who own a golf shop, and this one has the distance with forgiveness, workability with perfect trajectory. The shaft fits me fine as I am a smooth tempo swinger with a club head speed with driver of 102 mph. Love the smooth feel of the stock Fuji so much I had it installed in all my woods.

Callaway's best made driver ever.....make sure you get the tour version with the square face. It is designated by the TM Chevron on the face "V" and the .5* lofts.

Stay Callaway and get the FT-5 Tour!

Make: ITB is TM Burner TP 8.5, factory X shaft

Why: The burner bumped the r7 after I started using the Burner hybrids and decided to try the driver. I hit more fairways (and the ones I miss are by feet not miles!!!) and get great distance.

Titleist D2 8.5 w/ Fuji 757 X. But I deeply regret selling my 905R 8.5 w/ Diamana BB 83 X and Before that selling my 905S 8.5.

I rotate, R510TP and 905S. I've used my 905S 8.5degree Comp NT 85g Stiff for this year but lately i picked up a sweet deal of the R510TP 9.0 degree with Graphite Design PM702 Stiff for very cheap at 59.00 shipped and took over last month. My plan for next year is to use both drivers alternately, on windy days i will be using my 905S 8.5 and on calm days r510tp will be bagged.

I just switched to Ping G10 9* with V2 HL shaft. Just ordered matrix shaft...see how's the combo will go.
Lately also put Ping Rapture 9* with NVS 65. Seems it is a good combo for me in launch monitor, will try at the course in a few days.

I have owned quite a few drivers and I just kill this one straight down the middle!

Titleist 983K, 10.5, reg. oem shaft...and a wee bit of lead tape near the heel.

Great feeling driver, beautiful sound at impact and it gives me confidence.
However, after reading all the latest posts from WRX'rs...I'm really interested in
the G 10. My buddies are starting to out drive me lately. Their t-shots roll past
me as mine tend to drop and stop. Need 10 more yards lol.

Model: Callaway FT-I Draw Biased

Loft: 11 degree

Shaft: Fujikura Speeder 586 Regular

Why: For my swing the club truly lives up to the hype. During a driver fitting in September, the FT-I (the club I new I didn't want) wound up totally outperforming (for my swing) all of the clubs I was interested in , Ping G10, Callaway Big Bertha 460, Callaway FT-5, as well as the Wishon I was playing this season. After a month of play I'm even more pleased. I can still cut this club but the misses are truly mitigated. For me the technology works.

tour issue 8.5 r7 460 with a diamana white x flex tipped 1/4 (with the deep bore of an r7 head this makes it tipped about 1/2) why because it looked good and if it wasnt vets day i would be hitting it but the post isnt open today. And well the hibore I just sold was the best driver I have ever hit and I have hit alot of them.
