Best Golf Glove, Post you opinions Options

I voted Other because I have been gaming the FootJoy WeatherSof. it's mostly synthetic and holds up VERY well to sweat and to rain (which we get plenty of here in the PNW). It is super long lasting, soft, comfortable, and grippy in all conditions.

The Wilson gloves I get at Walmart.

$9.99 everday (not the sale price) for a real leather glove that lasts is a great deal IMO.

I know it is all subjective but one of those Wilson gloves from Walmart was my first glove. It looked about 10 years old after the first week. Every day I would put it on and it would be all stiff and crusty and just feel nasty. it took a few minutes to relax and form back to my hand. My hands sweat a lot and the real leather of the Wilson glove just couldn't take it. My friend had been using a WeatherSof for the same amount of time as my Wilson glove and the difference between my glove and his was night and day. I went to the synthetic glove the next day and never looked back.

for me it would have to be the titleist players glove ..i have a really strong left hand grip and have a tendency to wear out the palm area of other gloves pretty quick the titleist is the only one thats lasted me a few months before giving out and that saying im playing 2-3 times a week

Player's gloves are good for about 3 rounds in the heat. Best fall glove for sure but during the summer the weather sof footjoy is the best.

To me, assuming they are cabretta leather and of good quality, gloves to me are like tees, an interchangeable commodity. Buy the cheapest. I can usually find name brand close-outs such as Etonic, Nike or Mizuno. When I do I stock up.

To me there's few things more discouraging than looking at a new $15 glove after one round in the heat and humidity of a Florida summer.

Bionic's fit the best but my love for the pads comes and goes. Right now my fave is the Nike Dri Fit Elite: soft on the hands and tacky on the club. Hard to find but worth looking for.

Having read this posting about a month ago while searching for a longer lasting glove than the Sofjoy I like, but go through after about four or five rounds I came across several postings promoting the STAR GLOVE at $6.95ea. (full cabretta leather)

What the heck. For $15.00 bucks I ordered a couple off their web site and have found them just as durable if not more so than the premium name brand gloves. The fit may not be quite as good but pretty darn close and for those like me that play three or four times a week I'm thinking this may be a real nice option to blowing through $50.00 a month of gloves.

Can't say if they are the best glove but certainly the best value - Costco has a three pack of Callaway gloves, two cabretta leather and one "all-weather" for $18. The leather gloves are quite similar in feel and durability as the FJ StaSoft.

Titleist Players. No glove like it. Wear it once, you'll never wear another.

Titleist should ignore the stats of how many ProV's are played. It is amazing how many tour players (even those without a single Titty product in their bag) still choose the Player's glove.

True, it doesn't last long. It is expensive. But it is the best.

Initially I thought a bit expensive, but as the extra cushioning on the finger joints helps my grip plus the leather is so good I am getting over 30 rounds a glove ... usually, i buy a new one every other week.

A lot of money but well worth it and cheaper in the long run.

I bought a few Fit39 gloves from a guy that sells golf equipment from Japan and I love them. Especially here in Florida where it is so humid and your hands get really sweaty, these things were great.

I play the FootJoy F3's. Soft, tacky, hold up pretty well in the heat, and you can find them off of ebay for cheap. I bought 3 for $27 with shipping then I just rotate two at a time to make em last longer. Great glove.

I used the Callaway warbird for a season and a half, and both only have a little black mark on the palm, I could game them for another year, but as my game got better I wanted more feel and found that the warbirds all of a sudden would shift on my hand. Now I use the Srixon Tour Cabretta (as my screen name states I am a tool), Srixon hooks me up with everything I could want. I get 4 srixon gloves for the price of the warbird 2 pack.

Black or blue FJ Weathersof, don't know why but they feel thinner than the white ones and don't get stretched out like leather gloves.

I have to say, the Callaway gloves that come three to a "chubb pack" from the Price Club, er "Costco" are a great deal, $18.99 or summat like that. They are a little thick, but quite supple and soft. I do like Nike dri-fit tours, but come on, why spend excessively if it's not going to effect your score?

Footjoy StaSof is to me the best glove out there BUT living in humid Dubai and coming from the wet UK, shelling out 20-25 bucks for an easily trashed glove is not something that appeals.

I have a Hattie Smart glove too but haven't played it - feels too good to use! The leather is fantasticly soft. I actually want to buy a Ladies L and R and give them to the gf as a pair! They're beautiful.

However, on a few trips out to the Far East, I happened upon the Footjoy TropiCool, a mesh-backed synthetic glove, which is just fantastic in hot and humid conidtions. I stocked up and currently have about 15.
Haven't seen them outside Asia nor on auction/Internet. Well worth it if you play a lot in the heat and have problems with either slippage or simply getting through new leather gloves to quickly.
Will try to get a few pictures up.

Also used to like the FJ WeatherSof GTX as a competent, durable and good value all-rounder.
Likewise, some Etonic gloves I've had in the past have been really dependable - good performing, good fit and long-lasting. Not the first name people look at for gloves but I really rate the ones I've had, espeically compared to Nike & Callaway gloves I've used in the past - the 'tonics were loads better.

Also picked up a couple of Puma gloves which look pretty slick - tried on their open back one too but didn't buy, it was well over 30 bucks!

Have also picked up my first Fit 39, tried it the other night on a par3 course. Great grip, wasn't too keen on the fit as the neoprene was stretching and giving, making my hand move about! Kinda weird. Palm stayed impressively stable on the club grip, though. More testing needed. Has potential. I see why they're getting the good comments here.

Have a 3M Greptile somewhere but wasn't bowled over when I used it. Will have to give it another blast but being leather, it's not ideal for where I live.

Also want to try one of those Iomics.

Original Roo kangaroo leather gloves, bought 3 before I moved to Dubai, supposed to be good in the heat.
One dried up, stitching fell apart on another and the third was either lost or binned. Poor show.

Anyone tried the Possum leather gloves? I know SMT were making them a while back, supposed to last ages.

The best glove I found for the price and wear is the Zevo Cabretta glove at Golfsmith. For $6 you cant go wrong. Lasts a long time, mesh inbetween the fingers and feels great. Oh, did I mention it $6. It will be the best $6 you have ever spent.

+4 On the Mizuno Retroflex. My guy at Edwin Watts plays far more than I get to yearly and swore by them so I tried them. Soft, fairly thin and lasted 13 rounds and at least a dozen range trips all with cord grips. Based on this thread I may try the Srixon or a Titleist Players for game day glove but will keep a stock of the Retros around- they are just a great all around glove-summer heat especially; performed MUCH better than StaSof for me in summer and NEVER get that dried up crunchy feel.
