how about axiv for irons
I like to play a stiff flex but I have tried putting in Axiv iron shaft 95 grams S flex but it feels a little too stiff, maybe need more time in it. If I use the 75 S would it be better? Or I should go for the R Flex. I don't like it when it gets whippy.
my driver speed is around 105 driver weight around 65 grams

The AXIV 7576M (77g) fits your swing. You will notice a strong kick, penetrating ball flight, and distance gains.

The AXIV V 8076 (80g) will give you results. It was made for the better playing hard hitter with anti-left characteristics. You will like the penetrating ball flight with roll!

Yes, the AXIV Iron 759M (S) will feel slightly softer as the lighter shaft will up your swing speed a tad. You should stick with the Stiff as the Reg flex for a much slower swing speed than yours.

Swing Speed:- 105 to 108 consistently
Driver distance:- No problem with 270, but never really taken much notice.
Tempo:- Medium
Usual ball flight:- With driver, high
Desired Flight:- High
Desired Weight:- 70g
Bad shot:- Left (but you can't help with that, it's a reverse pivot, over the top move..ugly bad.gif )

To be fitted in an FT-3 and played at 46", possibly 46.5" at a push.

To help a little more, I currently own and play both the TP-7 (untipped X) and Altus (untipped X). TP-7 is great, both height, ballflight and shot shape (small draw), Altus is slightly higher (not too high, also good), but I leave it out right every now and again (high pushy fade). Would like a shaft that mimics the ballflight of these shafts (not the push!) but is longer!.

If you like the OZIK line up, yes, the AXIV's are a great match up. It has great energy transfer like the OZIK's but the kick is noticable and resulting in a nice penetrating ball flight.

The AXIV 7568M (76g) fits your swing. You'll like its strong kick and distance gains.

Also, the AXIV V 7072 (70g) although it has a slightly lower ballflight compared to the TP-7 the feel and workability is exceptional.

So just to clarify, for a driver install.. no tipping is required, just prep the tip and butt cut to length?

Hi,

I am looking for a high launching shaft for my fairway wood. I really like the speeder 757 stiff in driver, but have had less success with this in fairway woods. Was trying to find a speeder 869 for a while, as I heard this shaft is a higher launching version of the 757 designed especially for fairways.

Swing Speed: 100-105 (driver)
Driver distance: 250-260 carry
Tempo: Average to quick
Usual ball flight: Mid
Desired Flight: High
Desired Weight: 75-85g
Bad shot: Left

TSG!!!

thanks

Here are my numbers...I recently made a relatively minor/major swing adjustment, which has been extremely positive for my overall game(playing my hands at a much lower position...ding ding!!)...I am still prefecting this but its getting 'close'....But my angle of attack and swing plane has improved soo much.( if I have a fault its not always releasing the club) I now am not getting enough launch angle and maybe too much spin?????

I am currently playing a Tour Issue FT-3(9.5) with Fuji Zcom TW74 @ 45".. This was all done a Vector.

I am pretty certain, I will be moving into a Higher lofted head(10.5) and likely looking for a High lauching shaft

By the numbers: Averages over 40 swings.

Launch Angle: 10-12* Ball Speed 158-165 Spin 2400- 3000 SS 105-114

Suggestions?

I guess I'm mosting concerned about getting the LA up and not so much about the Spin( as I see this decreasing slightly as I become more comfortable with the swing).

thanks for the help!

The AXIV 5060M (53g) is the lightest they go. If you want something a bit heavier, try the 5560M (57g).

Thanks! However according to the chart it CPMs at 290...is that for real...seems like it would be a telephone pole??
I will be playing it in a ft-3 head which effectively tips any shaft aprox 1/2" due to bore and ferrule.
Please confirm your suggestion thanks you

Swing Speed = 102-118 last time checked. probably 105-112 on easy smooth swing I am adapting to. 1.48 smash.

Driver distance = 240-270 seems to depend greatly on spin rate

Tempo = medium

Usual ball flight = high

Desired Flight =medium

Desired Weight = 55-65

Bad shot = pull left

Currently playing Cobra x speed 9* with Jap MW54X tipped 1". I have a steep swing but is on plane and I hit a straight ball. I just picked up a ft-3 9.5 tour issue and want to shaft it with something but I have no idea what. Maybe I should hit it first with the ys6 it comes with and then put up my stats. Right now I want some roll and a lower flight. I get none even if it is concrete fairways. I also would like to feel more kick than the current setup so have been thinking of going back to stiff flex if I can find one that spins and launches lower.

Tempo (Slow, Reg, Fast) - Fast
Usual ball flight (Low, Medium, High) Medium/High
Desired Flight (Low, Medium, High) Medium/High
Desired Weight (60g, 70g, 80g range) 60g, 70g
Bad shot (Right or Left) - Left
Current shaft specs (if available) - Diamana Redboard S flex 63g
What are you looking for in a shaft? - Straighter, longer shots. Max carry with plenty of roll. Need concistency.

Thanks

The AXIV 6068M (63g), 6568M (66g), or 7668M (76g) all fit your swing depending on your preferred swing weight. They all are a Stiff flex. You will notice a more penetrating ball flight, strong kick with distance gains.

Swing Speed (109 mph w/ Driver)
Driver distance (275 yard average)----260 carry
Tempo (slow to regular)
Usual ball flight (high-------right to left)
Desired Flight (mid------straight)
Desired Weight (66-75 gram range)
Bad shot (left)

I would prefer recommendations on AXIV shafts, I am very interested in purchasing one of those, it will be going into a new HIBore XL Tour Head

The AXIV V 7072 (70g) is a very consistent shaft with a strong kick. Many notice distance gains and it also lessens bad left shots. You definitely should give it a try.

You can purchase here with a $50 discount for AXIV's: www.tourspecgolf.com/catalog

TSG!!!

Josh

The AXIV 7572L (77g) has a nice feeling kick and when compared to the TW74, the AXIV will give you the increased LA you are looking for.

Thanks! However according to the chart it CPMs at 290...is that for real...seems like it would be a telephone pole??
I will be playing it in a ft-3 head which effectively tips any shaft aprox 1/2" due to bore and ferrule.
Please confirm your suggestion thanks you

Yes, it is 290cpm. But AXIV uses a 7" clamp with 211g when testing frequency. When I test it with a 5" clamp and 205g weight it is significantly lower. Too bad about the lack of standards in golf...it would make everything so much easier.

Swing Speed = 102-118 last time checked. probably 105-112 on easy smooth swing I am adapting to. 1.48 smash.

Driver distance = 240-270 seems to depend greatly on spin rate

Tempo = medium

The AXIV 7072 (70g) Stiff or the 6070 (62g) weaker Stiff depending on your tempo. They both have a penetrating trajectory for increased distance through roll. Very consistant.

Hi,

I am looking for a low launching shaft for my Bridgestone J33r driver. I really like the speeder 757 stiff in there now, but had to tip it around 1 inch due to the long hosel and consequent very shallow insertion.

Looking for something similar in flex as the speeder 757 stiff but with a little less spin and lower launch. Maybe an Axiv V? Please also advise how much to tip in this head. I want to play it at 44.75"

Swing Speed: 103-106 (driver)
Driver distance: 250-260 carry
Tempo: Average to quick
Usual ball flight: High
Desired Flight: Mid
Desired Weight: 75-85g
Bad shot: Left

Thanks,

Alex

SS - 90 to 95 MPH
Distance - 225 yds carry
Launch angle - 15 to 17*
ball spin - 2500 rpm
Usual flight - med to high
desired height - med to high
desired weight - 60 to 65 grams
bad shot - I'm usually very straight but will hit two to the right for every one left
looking for - distance & smooth but stable feel

Plan on putting this shaft in the 460 TP or a 10.5* 425 TP

currently playing - 9.5* 460 TP/ NVS 65r tipped 1 1/4" @ 45.5"
previous - 9.5* 400 TP/ fuji 553 stiff (very straight but maybe a hair too stiff) ,
i tried a fuji six but found it a bit on the loose side ( too much torque if i got quick ?? )

thanks for your time !!!
