I have heard many thoughts on the original titleist bullseye not being a Scotty Cameron, but on the bottom of the putter there are the initials S.C. in a circle. I would assume that they stand for Scotty Cameron but I am not possitive about it. I have included some pictures so that some of you may be able to help me. Thanks.

Its hard to see due to the poor quality pictures but in the first pic you can kind of see it right in the middle of the sole of the putter.

A Bullseye with SC on the sole is a Cameron putter. SC does not stand for sand cast.

The SC on that putter stands for Scotty Cameron, not sand cast.

Those putters are probably worth about 20-30 dollars

The original John Rueter design putters are worth a ton of money.

My first bullseye was purchased in the late 1960's it has Acushnet(made in U.S.A.) stamped on the bottom of the club head and does not say Titleist anywhere on the club head. It has the bullseye circle and the putter trademarks on the bottom of the head also stamped.

The only stampings on the bottom of the putter head are W-FL 35 S, that indicates it is a wide flange 35" in lenght and I do not remember what the S stands for (not Scotty). The original bullseye had a flutted shaft. Which I do not think they are used for todays putters.

My Scotty Cameron bullseye putter has Bullseye Flange By Titleist stamped on the bottom of the putter and Cameron on the back of the blade and Scotty on the front of the blade, it also has a black aiming dot on the top of the blade. This putter does not have a flutted shaft.

As I recall these bullseyes were released in 1994-95. When Cameron signed with Titleist, remaking the bullseye was the first thing they asked him to do. I don't think he was too happy about it, thus the little sc on the bottom of the sole.

The original Bullseye was around before Scotty worked with Titleist.

The SC does stand for Scotty Cameron and was used before he became an immenent designer.

What kind of value would this putter have? Is it rare?

Not much of a demand for the first bullseye SC. Once he redesigned they are collectable. Check Ebay and see pricing, very low currently.

The ones in really good condition can sell for over $60, but that was before the economy completely tanked.

No. They are very common and not desirable.

It's worth gaming the heck out of though! partytime2.gif

It's been mentioned the original ones were sand cast. How were the Cameron one's made? That shape is very hard to CNC, if turns out the Cameron Bullseyes were handmade maybe that would drum up some interest for it.
