In the states, he might break even, but his collectors market and museum overseas most likely negates that. When you can sign something and sell it for a ton of money just because you signed it, you're doing alright. I kind of view his putters like baseball cards. They're the big fad right now, and they hold their value really well. Eventually though, the next big thing will come out and the market for them will take a dive. If and when Tiger ever switches putters (he's switched before, so don't say it won't ever happen again), the bottom will fall out of his market.
Don't get me wrong, I've owned quite a few Camerons, and made money on them or not lost any, and I'm grateful for that, but that doesn't mean that they worked well for me. I've had my lowest putts per round with putters that cost significantly less. It's about performance for me. I don't buy wall hangers or museum pieces. I buy putters to use as a tool. If it doesn't work for me, I probably won't buy it. Feel wise, I liked them, but they didn't work for me results wise. |

wow. tough crowd. again. Hence the quote "I fell their jealously" There are plenty on people in here, always the same ones, who try to tear down Scottys putter. Of course the companies most of them perfer also sell improvements of someones designs. Of they complain about his marketing, or his prices, or his headcovers, or his pivot tools, or his ball tools, yadda yadda yadda The original posters first sentence is true ("It seems like year after year Cameron comes out with great putters.") based on the fact that Titleist Cameron putters maintain the number 1 postion in their segenmt of the market, Milled putters. Do you have numbers to support assertion that cameron sells more milled putters than anyone else? can you post them? what is the source? If you don't believe me, buy this report and prove me wrong http://www.golfdatatech.com/site/purchase_...line/putter.asp |

And then have what's leftover to spend on a Lime Green Matrix Ozik from that OTHER forum |
