Was just wondering if anyone knows what these heads should weigh . I weighed mine and it came in at 198 oz , This feels a bit light to me , has anyone had any experiences ? How can i make this a bit heavier ?

According to Ping's website (link below), the G15 head weighs 204gm. Assuming that your scale is right, 198gm does sound a bit light. Ping intentionally made the G15 head heavier (+5gm) than the G10 head to go with the new counter-balanced shafts. A tip weight might be the solution.....

seems odd that ping would let something go through that much lighter.. sure your scale is good?

Yes the scale is spot on , as soon as i received the club it didn't feel right . Ball would fly high and right with a snap slice , so i took the shaft out and spine aligned it and have since gotten better results but the head feels strange to me ( nothing like the demo club ) . This is really disappointing quality control from Ping .

Does your G15 have the standard counter-balanced TFC149D or Aldila Serrano shaft? If a counter-balanced shaft was NOT used, Ping would have selected a lighter head to keep swingweight near the target D3 value.

It would be interesting to know what the club swingweight is. If you don't have access to a SW scale, the Swingweight Estimator (see link below) would give you a good idea. I've compared the estimated value on several drivers with the actual scale-measured value and it seems to be spot on.

C6 swingweight is way too light, which might explain the high cpm reading. Contact Ping Customer Service (1-800-474-6434) and see if they'll help you out. Good luck in getting this resolved.

Call Ping customer Service. They'll give you another driver. It should not matter which shaft you have. They are all counter-balanced!

I know Ping Golf's in's and out's. Ping's quality control is hand's down the best in the industry. Ping heads come in around 200 grams they have the capability to increase the head weight with clue and or weights if needed. Ping is all about componet matching, head, shaft grip to the correct swingweight. How many inch clap did you use to measure the CPM on the shaft? Was the grip on or off? If you use the wrong inch clap the CPM's will be off and if you leave the grip on the CPM will be off. Did you get the club at standard length? or did you shorten the shaft after the fact? If the club is shorter then standard you need to request the D2 swingweight which is standard for a Regular flex driver. If have a very hard time believing that the G15 driver at standard length and grip is at C6 I don't believe at all, your measuring devices are way way off... Maybe it's not the driver at all, I get so sick of golfers blaming the manufactor's for there bad golf, it might just be your golf game and not the club, try taking a lesson it could help.

For someone who claims to know the ins and outs of Ping you should know that the g15 head is quite a bit heavier then there other drivers.... They use Counter balanced shafts to bring the weight back to normal.

I have a hard time believing his scale, swing weight scale, his feel were all equally off at once.

I love ping, but they let something through that shouldn't have. Not a big deal as long as they fix their mistake.

So if you know so much about Ping how come you didn't know the G15 head should be 204 gm's . The club was ordered at standard length , regular flex . If my swing needs some work then please explain the following .

I hit there demo G15 perfectly at a demo day .
My previous driver was a G10 and was perfect . Best Driver i have owned .
The retailer has spoken with Ping and they are happy to exchange it , as i new they would .

My point is don't think every Driver Ping manufactures are identical , bad ones slip through . If you hit one of there demos well at a demo day , then try and buy that club !

Wil let you know the outcome

Cheers
