I have a question, due to a wrist problem and work constraints, I have no joined my regular club for the last two seasons and also this one, so I have left my handicap laps, so now that I’m trying to play more , I’m looking for a web site where its free or very inexpensive to keep your scores and handicap, also ease of use is important
Any advice please |

Check out myscorecard.com
$10/year to join, super easy to use, and you can join an online "club" to re-establish your HDCP. I've been using it since January and love it. |

http://www.mobilegolfstats.com/
It is free and works great After each round you can decide whether to post just a total score or hole by hole, fairways/greens hit, putts etc. You can enter your course if it is not in the database yet. Gives you some interesting stats after you get a bunch of scores in. |

I'm a big fan of oobgolf.com
it's free and keeps tons of stats, you can enter scores from your phone while on course if you're that into tech stuff |

If you want a valid USGA cap to play in tournys with you can use myscorecard.com and stracka.com. MyScorecard is 10 bucks a year - not bad - i used this for the last 3 years. Just joined Stracka.com this month b/c its free and offers a valid USGA cap.
The other sites mentioned I can't vouch for. |

www.nethandicap.com Another site that gives you an official handicap. I've used it for 2 years now without any problems. Gives you lots of stats on FIR, GIR, Sand Saves, Number of Putts, Hole Averages etc.

With all of the sites mentioned you have some options. My suggestion would be to check them all out and see what interface you find easiest and most enjoyable.

Stracka looks like a good option since it's free and gives you a GHIN index. I've been using oob, but you don't get an official index.
The only thing stracka is missing is an iphone app. They have a mobile site, but it feels awkward and doesn't have all of the score entry options. |

i just signed up for oobgolf and it is pretty cool...i like how it tracks the stats...very nice I was a big oob fan, but stracka has everything from what I can tell (except drives missed L/R) and you don't put the drive distance on each hole, just an average for the round. And stracka gives you an actual GHIN should you ever need it, oob gives you a number but it's not 'legit' even though it's calculated correctly. |

I use stracka.com and golfhound.com. Stracka lets you join a club and gives you a free official USGA handicap. They have stat tracking there as well.

If you good with excel, you can make a spreadsheet to track everything. I keep my GIR, FIR, total putts, 3 putts, etc stats in there also.

I signed up for Stracka (actually my ushandicap.com site took me there after their changes), but there are no clubs within 50 miles with more than 10 members and a chairman so I can't get a handicap. Does anyone know a way around this?
