Alright. Was playing golf today and while I was helping my friend find his ball, this topic occurred to me. Be honest

If you are asking if I would tell him I found his ball? Absolutely I wouldn't wanna win any other way. Friend or not, I would point it out.

Not sure how to reply to this one, since there isnt really a question here, but the title caught my eye so here goes...
Being a mid-high capper, I love match play. From a playing standpoint, every time I'm out with my usual playing partner we split up the 9's for 2 matches on the day. Loser buys beer at each turn. All square after any 9 means double or nothing for the next. I find it's great. It keeps me focused on my game, and allows for those blow-up holes to happen without taking you copletely out of the competition. Even when I'm playing in a foursome, team matchplay cam be lots of fun, especially with guys of different skill levels... From a spectating perspective, I wish the PGA tour atually had more match play events. Imagine how much more exciting the FedEx Cup Finals would be if they were match play format? No more locking it up before the last event, as happened the last few years with Tiger and Vijay. Every round wuld count till the last. It'd be great - like march madness in September!! |
