Here's my bag! After going through a lot of clubs this summer I've finally settled on a bag that I'm extremely happy with. I'm putting with two Byron Morgan 006's, with an 007x on the way. These are hands down the best putters I've ever used, and I don't plan on selling them or switching brands anytime soon
Driver: Callaway Big Bertha 460 (Grafalloy ProLaunch Blue - stiff) 3 Wood: TaylorMade Burner 15⁰ (Grafalloy ProLaunch Platinum - stiff) Hybrid: TaylorMade Berner Rescue 19⁰ (Grafalloy ProLaunch Platinum Hybrid - stiff) Irons: Mizuno MP-67 (DG S300) Wedges: Scratch 8620 52⁰ / 56⁰ / 60⁰ (KBS Tour - stiff) Everything is stuffed inside a Sun Mountain Four-5 bag and all clubs are gripped with Lamkin Crossline Midsize grips. Rocket Tour's are keeping my fairway woods safe. ![]() ![]() ![]() Custom stamping on the Scratch 8620's: ![]() Putter #1: Byron Morgan 006 Oil Can 35" / 4⁰ / 72⁰ 350g head weight sound slot Iomic standard size grip ![]() ![]() ![]() Putter #2: Byron Morgan 006 Black Star Mist 35" / 3⁰ / 71⁰ 355g head weight Iomic standard size grip I bought this putter used and recently discovered that it is somewhat of a rare Byron handmade. The putter is carbon steel that's copper plated and then nickel plated. It's also 1 of 3 or 4 putters that Byron stamped with the Club Byron logo! ![]() ![]()

Very nice!! Go PING! Thanks! I love the G2's. They're super easy to hit and feel great when you make good contact with the ball. After hitting a friends Mizuno MP-57's though, they could be getting replaced at the end of the season. I'm also toying with the idea of drinking the kool aid and picking up a Scotty Cameron... |

Hopefully tomorrow I'll be able to pick up my brand new Mizuno MP-67 irons. After the custom fitting I realized I've been playing clubs that are too short for me, so the Mizzie's will be lengthened by an inch. Pictures to follow!

Awesome iron upgrade. I just switched from i10's to MP-57's. Those 67's look amazing.

Awesome iron upgrade. I just switched from i10's to MP-57's. Those 67's look amazing. I haven't had a chance to hit them at the range or on the course, but I did whack a few shag balls in my backyard. They feel fantastic, and the extra inch really seems to help me connect with the ball more consistently. I used to take deep divots with my G2's, and now I'm just realizing it's because they were too short and I was overcompensating, causing me to have a steep swing plane. I can't wait to play a round with the MP-67's! |

I have some Mizuno wedges on order after hitting one at the range. I'm now a sucker for grain flow forging, they felt like butter with a midsized grip! I also have some new Rocket Tour head covers on order and I'll be taking pictures of everything when it all arrives.

Wedges and head covers have arrived!
Betty (my putter) is going to have some company later in the week. I'm not sure how the two will get along but I suspect Scotty will be fighting for a place in my bag. Hell, I only have 13 clubs, is it legal to carry two putters? |

Thanks, I usually get comments every time to head to the course or range :-)
Today I picked up my new (well, it's used, but new to me!) Studio Style Newport 2 from getting lengthened and walked out carrying a Tour Edge Exotics XCG-V 10.5 driver with the Graphite Design stiff shaft. This thing is a bomb! I'll try to get some pictures up a bit later. Here are pictures of the Scotty Cameron Studio Style... ![]() ![]() And here's the XCG-V! ![]() ![]()

Very nice bag and the driver looks good , i dont know much about tour edge stuff so you will have to let me know how you get on with it . I played 18 this morning, and while it was the worst scoring round I've had this year, my tee shots were spectacular. This driver is pretty impressive, I love the way it sets up and the ball flight is great. It's pricey, but I won't need to spend more on a different shaft...plus, it comes with a GP New Decade grip! The stock Graphite Design shaft is absolutely perfect for me too. 10.5 degrees and a mid kickpoint goes well with my 105mph swing speed. I'd say the launch angle is 10-11 degrees and the balls were landing pretty softly with 10-15 yards of carry. Someone with a faster swing speed would probably want the 9 degree with a higher launching shaft like the Grafalloy ProLaunch Blue. Test one out if you can find a local dealer! Byron's putters are unreal, I'm very excited to receive my 007x with a welded flow neck. It'll be finished in Black Ox with a smoked KBS Tour shaft. It'll be a head turner for sure...
I'm pretty happy with this set up, and the only thing I'd like to experiment with over the winter is some Scratch 1018 forged wedges in different grinds. |

I picked up a Cobra ZL this weekend and for the time being it's taken the place of my Big Bertha. I'll hopefully have pictures up next weekend.

Thanks. I'm starting to get the itch to move back to a forged wedge. The cast 8620's are great, but honestly I'm not impressed by the feel. Granted, I'm coming from Mizuno wedges and game the MP-67's, some of the best feeling irons ever made...
I think I'll be placing an order for some 1018 wedges over the winter... |
