Hey guys,

A few family friends and us are going to Maui in August and we're planning to play a round or two there.

I'm starting my search for a the best value travel bag and wanted to see if any of you have any recommendations.

I currently have a stand bag and carry about 13-14 clubs, and my longest club is the PING G10 driver. I heard some of the older bags don't accomodate the newer longer woods so that's something to look for.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Jimmy

the Ogio straightjacket is what you want.

Moreover, increadibly, a store called Bed, Bath and Beyond, ( or something like that) is selling it on their website at clearance for something ridiculous like $40 ( instead of $169 ?)

go onto their website and enter "ogio" in the search function.

one heck of a deal.

Whoa! The deal was so good I actually ordered one. It looks like Roger Dunn sells them for $109!

I'd still like to hear what everyone else is using and would recommend in case I end up returning this.

Thanks parpar!

That's a great deal on a great bag. You should be happy with that. Have fun in Maui!

That certainly looks like a good deal.

FWIW, I decided I would only feel comfortable with a hard case (was never bothered which and not even sure what the make of mine is) so that's what I got. It's really cumbersome in comparison to the softer cases but I feel I get better protection!

I'm sure the modern 'soft' travel bags offer pretty good protection these days though.

I took advantage of the BB&B Ogio deal mentioned above and couldn't be happier. Just returned from a trip to florida and bag held up great.
Lots of room for my stand bag but it looked to have plenty of room if I had a large Cart bag instead. And no problems on my ft-5 fitting ( it was tight in my 5 yr old bag)
I think I paid 39.99 minus 20% off from those coupons they mail weekly.

Does the BB&B bag only come in one color?

I picked mine up at the store and the red/black one pictured on their website was the only option.

Thanks!

Just picked one up at my local BBB for $33 after the coupon.

All they had was red/black there too.
