It's a strong showing from young Luke - but he still lags behind Darren Clarke and Stenson in the Shankers Hall of Fame.
Poulter still has a seemingly unassailable lead at the top of the list though. This post has been edited by mat562: Feb 12 2009, 04:31 PM |

I shouldn't be so hard on Luke with the wrist surgery and all. I actually am a big fan of his but I couldn't resist!! Maybe I should have not said the "S" word. Let's go with...hosel fade

maybe he should game the MP 67 as he might be irritated not gaming a pure blade however, I have high respect for him and like his effortless golf swing in general
All the best for him and keep fingers crossed |

Anders Hansen had a special one in Dubai last week - he almost smacked his caddy in the head with his ball!

dont wana put a technical side on this post,
but his swing doesent look like it use to, he use to get it more steep and the club pointing slightly left at the top. Now I think he has changed his swing for more distance and is trying to hit a draw (thats what i heard and read somewhere). And his swing looks to much inside and he gets stuck and his hips out race his body and thats when he shanks it!!!!! Next time he shanks it, im pretty sure he will, look at his backswing, he takes it inside real quickly, he never use to do that!!!!! its well funny tho, hge always has the same reaction too lol, just stares straight ahead with his arms folded lol. |

I don't know if you guys know this, But Luke Donals sets up with the ball on the hosel, just like Zach Johnson sets up with the ball out on the toe. So Luke's normal swing, if he set up with the ball in the middle, would be hit on the toe. When he sets up like he does normally on the hosel, and ends up hitting it where he started, it results in that shank.
