I did watch him today but i disagree, he sounded like he was high. I have always loved his sense of humor, between him and feherty its awesome.
But last week at the par 3 he kept giggling and cackling like an old hen, very odd, now this week he rambles on and on and on about some guy flying by in one of those kite glider things doing swirls. Every other announcer had to ask him to stop at one point as he kept rambling. Not very funny this or last week, he is on something? |

I think he's hilarious. He makes watching gold fun because he's so off the wall that Faldo & Fehrity have to act off the cuff instead of rehearsed stuff. I think the guy is high on life we need more of that.

McCord is good.
Ferity (spelled wrong I know) is the best. He says some of the funnest things. On the golf channel they had a clip of him saying something crazy. I think he was refering to someone great touch round the green, "He has the touch of a gay florist". He said that and I lost it LOL My favorite qoute of all tim is one my friend said. Another guy in our group blastd a 15 footer like 7 feet by the hole and he says "WOW...you have that soft caressing touch of rapist". Thats funny!! These guys make golf fun, unlike the absolute horribly boring European tour announcers. |

While I agree that McCord and Feherty are awesome for the sport, McCord was just rambling yesterday. At least at the FBR, he was talking about the bird species or talking about the cacti species. Yesterday he was getting a little annoying in his ramblings.
Faldo and Johnny Miller are the same person with a different accent. They talk about how great they were and how everyone's swing should be more like Tiger's. I heard Faldo "call out" McCord yesterday after McCord asked him if he ever heard of anyone "pressing" their putter so that it would roll better on PoAnna (sp?). Faldo asked him how many wins he had in his career and McCord handled it well by mocking himself. I would have asked Faldo how his coaching career has been going. Faldo is predictable and arrogant. I am glad we killed them last year. |

i find myself laughing at alot of his stuff, but he seems to carry it just 1-2 sentences too long. i am constantly thinking, man, if he would have stopped a sentence ago, it would have been just as funny and that awkward moment where i am no longer laughing, but he is still talking, is gone.
yesterday, when he made the comments on how HE went about putting these greens, and Faldo interjected and pointedly asked him how many times he had won, was priceless. |

He is so tiresome the last few years. All of his good lines have been used up long ago. I think he tries toooooo hard to be as funny as Feherty is naturally. He should take his mustache wax and ride off into the sunset along with Kelly, Nick, and the rest of the hacks on U.S. broadcasts.

I find McCord boring - he rambles on and on about anything but Golf.
I personally prefer Faldo above any of the others when he is talking about Golf - he gives good insight into the kind of shot a player is going to have to make when faced with a particular lie. I would prefer announcers who can critically explain/analyze a players swing and talk about course management decisions the players are faced with. I also miss the technical stuff they used to have - the putting line, the trackman and the ball flight line. I want more of the 'technical talk' and less of the meaningless prattle. What is everybody else looking for from the announcers? |

Honestly, I am looking for funny and interesting dialogue without them telling us how everyone needs to swing more like Tiger.
I would also like to have someone who actually knows what the hell they are talking about when it comes to equipment. Faldo doesn't even know how to spell Trackman and they have him analyzing the Trackman stats. Give me someone who actually knows what these guys are hitting and analyze if it is working. |

Gary McCord occasionally will spring some good lines, but 95% of the time - I find his humor very childish, and silly. His running commentary and rambling just seem more suited to small kids on a playground, and I find it hard to watch golf when he's on. sorry, this is just my opinion. PS: I know people will say 'don't watch', or "change the channel", but if you want to watch tournament coverage, you have no other alternative, to my knowledge. Feherty is much sharper, wittier, and has an intelligent wit, responsiveness, and insightful golf commentary. |

I do and its great. |

Am a huge Feherty fan. Faldo has his moments when he isn't regurgatating stats that are plainly obvious on the screen.
Who said to McCord today after the comment that they were playing right next to a mental health hospital at Torrey- "Well, we all you know you're familiar with getting clinical help Gary." The silent pause right after was hilarious. |

I find the cast from this past weekend top notch.
McCord: Don't tell me you were riding your bike at 4:30am? Feherty: Yep McCord: How many miles? Feherty: 30 McCord: Where do you go? Feherty: Forward. Someone's gotta spice things up. The players featured yesterday had the emotions of belly button lint, and not the good kind. They are BOR-ING. |

yah i enjoyed some of his banter yesterday. He started giggling to himself, talking about how good a shape the golf course was in and then he goes "oh i'm golfing tomorrow.. yep! I CAN'T WAIT TO PLAY TOMORROW"
