All high launch gear for this fall/winter in the very wet state of Washington.

D3 w/70 Kaili - Flat bombs, long and great feel w both head and shaft.

909f3 w/80 'Ilima - Sickest fw shaft ever, very happy with it as I have been using various GS Tours for two years and finally a great, modern replacement.

Pro gold w/Altus - Rediculously good club and fantastic sub 100 dollar price with an Altus.

Ap2 w/Project X non flighted 5.5

Miura wedges 53&58 w/S300 - Hand ground by Kwok, one rusted and one raw. Great feel and look, and great guy to do business with.

Nice Bag, How is the J33R 460 w/ the Epic? Ive been playing the 10.5* w/ the Evolution for the last 20 months and love it but the Epic has always intrigued me.

Thank you. I would love to try out a evolution in this head. I really like the shaft, the t75 feels more tip-stiff than the regular one to me. I like the feel, and find ball flight is ideal. I hit the 10.5* j33r lower than my g10 9*, the epic brought the flight up a bit over the NV it came with. The only thing that concerns me is the reports of these shafts snapping but no issues for me (knock on wood).

Fantastic 3 wood and shaft combo, this is the most difficult club for me to be comfortable with. I thought I would need a little heavier shaft, but I was wrong. I could use this for my driver in a pinch and not feel like I was at much of a disadvantage. The F60 is not as slim profile as maybe a Titty 906F4, but still good play off the deck. Sets up perfectly square, very solid feel.

That setup is sweet! I like the Epic headcover, kinda looks badass. And the Accra is an amazing shaft. I had one in a driver that I should have kept a hold of. You do a great job of keeping everything looking great as well. Nice bag!

Ya, I must admit I really like the headcover. It is very unusual, and gets a lot of comments.

I take very good care of my clubs. I actually use fine-grit sandpaper to clean up scratches on the irons and soles of the woods/hybrid. A great thing about the S58 set, you can bring the brushed finish back to like new.

Nice bag.......you're my hero. clapping.gif

How do the S58's play with the black golds, and in regular, I see stiffs in your woods and BG reg in irons. What type of swing speed do you have with irons.

chop180,

I have played 6 rounds with the bg regulars. I had the regulars put in on the advice of my fitter and I am not sure it was the right choice. The first few outings were not good as far as feel is concerned (feeling heavier and more muted). Playability has been decent, ball flight is higher than the zz65s, but distance is better and accuracy just as good with no hooking or pulling to the left. The feel of the bg takes a while to get used to I guess but I have a feeling I am going to swap them out. I do not know what my ss is for irons, I do know I am a smooth swinger that sweeps rather than hits down. I have to pay attention to my tempo with these too much right now, particularly with the 4 and 5 irons.

Almost a year on the s58s, proly around 8 months on the wedges. The S58s clean up well, just a bit of sandpaper brings back the factory brushed finish to the sole and muscle back area. I played a very sandy course before I took these pics and then spent a little time cleaning everything up to look better. Close-ups of the chrome wedges shows a lot of wear, they almost look brushed now.

Pretty heavy and cumbersome bag, I use a Sun Mt. V1 cart 80% of the time.

Its called having pings, they last forever and still look great. the s58's might be the least durable but the finish on all of there other irons is very durable.

But great looking bag set up, that epic headcover is very BA!

I moved a different J33r into the bag for the winter months. Weather here is cold and wet, I am wearing heavier layered clothing and not swinging as fast. Had to stick with a B-stone head (staying with 10.5 loft), this one has a V2 65 S in it. Great club, just need to add a Lamkin and I am set.

The club maker at the golf store who installed the shaft (Pro Golf Discount) gave it to me. Many people comment on how cool it looks, I like it as it is different and very well made...not some cheap thing you would think they just give out for a promo.

On your Ogio, how is the 3 ball sleeve on the outside working out for you? Does it hold the balls secure enough for you?

No issues at all at holding the balls secure, and I have been using this for two years ('06 model Edge). Sometimes a ball pops out when I throw the bag into my trunk but works as intended on the course.

Glad to hear this.....I just bought a MINT F-50 (not 60) off a member here with a stock Regular shaft......I then put up a WTB thread trying to get a Speeder 757 to put in it and a guy sent me a PM with several 757's he had and also a Accra t70 M% he had.....I decided on it after doing some research.....should be here today.

Have a Happy new year,

Thanks guys. Right now my irons are getting reshafted with Project X 5.5 (non-flighted) and I ordered three new Tour-W wedges. Hopefully these changes are for the best...we'll see.

MorganUSC, the Accra is a good fit for me..specifically helping me get a nice flight off the deck with the 3 wood. I hope your set-up works well for you too.

RIVER GC, I think I am going to start looking for a used Ping jas putter although the pics of the Byrons I see are very nice.

Cbey77, The s58s have a brushed finish on the backs and that is what I was reffering too.

New set-up for this year:

Tourstage X-drive GR 9.5 w/Rombax stiff
Fourteen SF206 w/Epic stiff
MP 57 w/Nippon 950 stiff
Chikara 52 and 56 (bent from 57) w/nippon 950 stiff
Bridgestone proto 60 w/5.5 spinner
Mizuno BC1

I do have an MP flihi 3 iron that sees some bag time, I take out the 60 degree to make room.

Hybrid is same as last year (Rapture) still shopping for something that works as well for me, hoping the upcoming B-Stone J36 hybrid is what I end up with.

Thanks Tad. I was reluctant to make such an overhaul for '08, but I just had to try out the Mizuno irons and everything else started getting replaced too. With only 27 holes so far this year, things are working out well.

How do the Nippon's play compared to the project x 5.5's? I'm unsure what to get with the MP-57's or the 695CB's. Or for that matter, how do you like your MP-57's? Thanks!

Nippons are the best, def a good fit for me so I like them better. I bought proto 60 as a head only, been using it as a guinee pig to try the 5.5 spinner...I like the head but will most likely reshaft it to a Nippon. The more I play the MP57s, the more I like them. Again, a great match for a low-ball hitter like me. I have never played the Titty 695s, so can't comment. I don't think you could go wrong with either though, they both seem to get alot of positive support.

Changed a few items recently, think this set will work for a while. The MP57s are staying put, as are the Chikaras. I may get a new Cally X-Forged 60 to replace the proto.

Here are the changes w/pics.

FTi LCD 9.5* w/Rombax 6707
Sonartec GS Tour 15* w/Ion Redboard 73 (thanks Joe K)
585h 19* w/VS proto
C&L 350 putter w/black ox finish & Fujikura shamrock
