He hits it straight down the middle and still can shoot -7 so it must work for him.. Oh and of course ph3.
Practice hard play hard and pray hard haha.. Maybe he doesn’t hit it too far cause it puts him off his mid swing pray haha.. What a douch spieth only made 2 bogeys in 72 holes he deserves to win.. And he doesn’t play by that terrible moto…

“Deserves to win” – I wasn’t aware they gave out awards for participation on the tour these days. ZJ went lower. ZJ won. What is difficult to comprehend about that?

How come he plays an X driver while hitting so short?

    • llamont

      Jan 7, 2014 at 9:47 am

I would guess that ZJ has undergone extensive fitting/range sessions with different shafts and the X-Flex probably felt better. While he might be considered “short” by Tour stats (and definitely WRX-stats), he still averages around 275 yards which isn’t exactly a stone’s throw for most who play the game.

Because it goes dead straight down the middle?

      • llamont

        Jan 7, 2014 at 10:26 pm

Well said, SL… Oh, that and the fact that his golf swing has made him over $30,000,000 and he’s ranked in the top 10. When you have those types of numbers you can play whatever you want.

I wish I hit it that short and had his bank balance.

      • Rhonda

        Aug 30, 2015 at 12:24 am

You hit it shorter and have no bank balance

Thought he had the new 714 AP2s in the bag. Could of sworn when he brain farted that 8 iron before his miraculous hole out he had a fresh 714. I could be mistaken

Golf is personal. Play how u want to play and how u love to play. To me it doesn’t matter as long as u keep coming back for more.

LOL, coming from a guy who probably shoots 59 on the front nine?

    Sep 18, 2013 at 6:36 pm

The ONLY thing that matters is making a swing that you can repeat, with a Consistent Trajectory and consistent curve. Plenty of guys have won with a swing that was heavily favoring 1 curve for example Jack’s Fade, Kenny Perry’s big hooks, Fred Couples’ trusty fade in his hayday. I think Douchey is not the right term, Unique is better. Look at the swings from the 70’s, Were they textbook? Swing does not matter, results matter.

Usually you need a good looking swing to hit it consistently. Some guys figure it out otherwise. Actually, I’d say it’s easier for coaches to teach to a conforming swing, rather than let the student do their own swing. Then why would they need to go to a coach? Plus students go back because the swing overhaul usually totally screws up their game, resulting in more tutor face time.

That’s the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard. Yeah and that’s why the likes of Tiger, DJ, Zach, Sneds, Keegan, Duf, Luke, the lot of them – all have coaches. Because they want to have their swing s screwed with. They’re students too, dummy

From one crooked Furyk swing to another in Zach’s! Why don’t the TV shows and analysts ever talk about how efficient these guys PLAY the COURSE, by doing what needs to be done, hitting them straight, planning the course and scoring? Forget having the nice looking swing! Go out there and just hit the ball into spots and take the course apart. That’s all that needs to be done.
Congrats, Zach! And commiseration to Jim Furyk but well done on the 59! An awesome week for the crooked swingers!

Why do you come to this site if you don’t like looking at clubs?

Lol would you trust a cell phone app for charting a pro course?

I think it’s interesting that a lot of guys are still using the original Bluebeard & whiteboard that are now a few years old. Johnson, Spieth, & tiger (whiteboard). Just shows you how good they are.

    • Joel

      Sep 16, 2013 at 2:46 pm

It’s really hard to beat the blue board or white board, I’m a little dissapointed I got rid of my white board and got an ahina. I may go back since people are going to be selling off this seasons gear pretty quick here.

Nothing that unique about his clubs. His trusty seemore fgp that u can find for $20-30 bucks is prob most unique club. Most of us already know what all the recent titlest gear looks like.

Probably the worst “WITB” I have ever seen, tons of pics of ZJ and of headcovers…. Wish there where more pics of his actual clubs…
