Its good to see Rory play well at last. But maybe a the article could have mentioned his score for those of us that didn’t see it.

Nike or Titleist…doesn’t matter…he gets what he wants anyway! The irons he’s gaming are pretty much exactly the same as his 712 MBs were. Ball and MWs makes a bigger difference i.m.o…You’ve all seen the article about his putter…only difference from his old one is the Nike grooving and it took a while for him to get used to, but as he’s said, once you get used to it, it gives a better and a more true roll.
I’m a big Titleist fan, as many of you guys. Let’s just quit complaining about his Equipment change, done is done, time to move on and wish the guy some Good Luck, he’s a true benefit for the game….
Over and out!

Anybody realised that tour equipment is a million miles from what you pick up in store yet? Come on guys

Sky spots in the UK have been reporting all week he has new irons in his bag?
From the very top pick they don’t look any different?

He simply put a “fresh” set in the bag. Said he wore out the grooves on the old ones.

Would Nike please come to their senses and release this putter already? The head design is gold standard (along with an “Anser 2/Newport 2/Method 001” style) that offers site line or dot (similar to Piretti). The grooves are great technology in the first Method 001 and have a great feel (at least for me), and then just offer the ability to add or change weights. Why does Nike, a company with billions of dollars, try to complicate things? I would definitely gamble and put my money on this company if they released putters (an only putters!) with this simplistic approach. Nike, keep it simple and inject your face groove technology to what everyone likes, and is asking for. Thanks!

I honestly don’t like the back of his putter how it curls instead of just flat like tigers. Would be awesome if they released both. Ppl would go nuts over them and they’d be flying off the shelves…theyre crazy not to.

I think they have released Tigers putter. Its just the standard 001

Why not just play an Answer or Newport?

Because some of us want the method tech in that head shape

Pretty sure his “bag” explains his poor play. I have tested Nike equipment and never cared much for it.
Not sure why he would change apparel and clubs while he was on fire. Oh yeah, Nike paid him a ton of money.

SO you’d decline an offer of over 100mil?

6.5 flex in his irons
I believe he had 7.0 in his Titleist. I could be wrong though
Shawn
Aug 1, 2013 at 11:30 am
Topher you are correct about him playing the 7.0 in his 712MB. Maybe he went down to 6.5 to work on a new ball flight or working the ball side to side. Rory will come back strong once he figures everything out.
johnny
Oct 31, 2013 at 1:19 pm
no he played 7.0’s for less spin at the US open when he won because of soft conditions. He always played 6.5’s

Should have put the Satin 712Mb’s in the bag for Real Game Improvement! I’m a big Rory Fan…. but something still isn’t
clicking……Hopefully if he tees off at 9.04 or 9.06 or 9.10 or 9.13 all will be well again!
again!

his blades are satin finish. he requested that nike use the same finish that titleist used on his 712 mb’s (satin).

You can put a “satin” finish on any chrome or polished metal by rubbing it out with a scotch-brite pad. In hot rodding its called brushed chrome. I do it to all my clubs. Looks great, cuts down on glare and hides little dings from bag chatter.
