Former No. 1 in the Official World Golf Rankings David Duval has reunited with his former sponsor, Nike Golf.

Duval is best known for his British Open victory in 2001. He has 12 other victories on the PGA Tour in his career, and has been on three Presidents Cup Teams, two U.S. Ryder Cup teams and two World Cup teams in his career.

Duval’s game has suffered since his British Open win, as he has battled a variety of health problems. He did not record a top-10 finish on Tour again until 2009, when he finished tied for second at both the Pebble Beach National Pro-Am and the U.S. Open at Bethpage Black

Last year, Duval finished 238th in the FedExCup standings, missing 10 cuts in 13 events. He is scheduled to make his 2013 debut at this year’s Pebble Beach National Pro-Am.

Here’s what Duval will have in the bag this week:

Driver: Nike VR_S Covert  Tour [8.5-degrees, right (R) setting] with Mitsubishi Rayon Diamana ‘ahina 70X shaft

Fairway Wood: Nike VR_S Covert Tour (13 degrees, R setting) with Diamana White Board 83X shaft

Irons:  Nike VR_S Forged 2 iron, Nike VR Pro Blades (3 through PW) with True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour Issue X100 shafts

Wedges: Nike VR Pro 53-degree and 58-degree with True Temper Dynamic Gold X100 shafts

Putter: Nike Method 006 prototype

Ball: Nike 20XI X

Apparel:  Nike Golf Tour Performance Collection

Footwear:  Nike Lunar Control

Would like to see this guy get back and do something.

He’s just gone missing for so long.

I wonder what the real problem has been?
