‘Stay over there!’ – Greg Chalmers reacts to Ian Poulter’s epic fart at The Travelers Championship

Published

on

With no golf fans on-site for the PGA Tour’s restart, microphones are picking up plenty of sounds from the players, and during the opening hole of Sunday’s final round, golf fans got a little more than they bargained for.

Ian Poulter and Greg Chalmers were playing the final round together, and directly after Chalmers’ opening tee shot, Poulter, well, ‘let rip’, and the microphones had no trouble picking the noise up.

You can check out the incident below, with the Englishman proudly asking Chalmers “Did you get that?”, to which the Aussie humorously responded, “Stay over there!”

The two also had a chuckle about it on Twitter after the round:

It turns out, Koepka had a pretty good point when he said golf fans would hear ‘everything’ if announcers would only be quiet.

Ha, couldn’t be a more perfect jerk to have done that and get picked up by TV mics.

Secures Poulter’s place in the HOF of pro golf jerks.

7 3’s never hurt…

I’ve played this hole…

Driver, 3 wood, LW……it was downwind though.

Overit.com…

Phil’s version was more better, but this satisfies.

GolfWRX Classifieds (07/03/20): Lefty Edition: Titleist U500, TaylorMade TP putter, Epon irons

Published

on

At GolfWRX, we love golf equipment plain and simple…even lefty gear 😉

We are a community of like-minded individuals that all experience and express our enjoyment for the game in many ways. It’s that sense of community that drives day-to-day interactions in the forums on topics that range from best driver to what marker you use to mark your ball, it even allows us to share another thing – the equipment itself.

One of the best ways to enjoy equipment is to experiment and whether you are looking to buy-sell-or trade (as the name suggests) you can find almost anything in the GolfWRX BST Forum. From one-off custom Scotty Cameron Circle T putters, to iron sets, wedges, and barely hit drivers, you can find it all in our constantly updated marketplace.

These are some of the latest cool finds from the GolfWRX BST, and if you are curious about the rules to participate in the BST Forum you can check them out here: GolfWRX BST Rules

Member Westcoastlefty – Custom Epon 302 Irons

These are big-time: aftermarket all-black s300 105s, BB and F co. ferrules (iykyk), and NEW Golf Pride MCC align plus 4 grips. If you’re a lefty this is a dream set.

Member matt70286 – Titleist U500 utility

This is quite possibly the fastest utility iron on the market, and lucky for the left-handers—if you swing from the right side you can own yourself one of these. Comes with a CK White, and for the rest of the details, check out the listing.

Member Camp007 – Left handed TaylorMade TP Putter

When it comes to underrated putters, TaylorMade could be the king. They have arguably introduced more technology into putters over the last decade than any other manufacturer, but seemingly fly under the radar. This is not an “under the radar putter” and considering the price, it’s a steal!

Jim (Bones) Mackay is back! – will caddie at the Workday Charity Open and Memorial Tournament

Published

on

Now working as an on-course analyst, Jim (Bones) Mackay will return to caddying duties next week as a fill-in for Matthew Fitzpatrick.

Golf Digest’s Daniel Rapaport reported the news, with the caddie set to team up with the Englishman for next week’s Workday Charity Open and Memorial Tournament, two events which take place at Muirfield Village.

Per the report, Fitzpatrick’s full-time caddie, Billy Foster, has remained in Europe  during the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, and the 25-year-old used Cayce Kerr as his temporary caddie for the opening three events of the tour’s restart.

Bones was on the bag of Phil Mickelson for over 25 years and after their mutual split in 2017 has been working as an on-course analyst for NBC/Golf Channel. He has, however, worked as a fill-in caddie before, carrying Justin Thomas’ clubs at the 2018 Sony Open.

After the Memorial Tournament, Fitzpatrick and Foster will resume their partnership at the WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational later this month.
