PXG releases limited-number of 0811 X and X+ prototype drivers; more Essential Face Masks available
PXG has unveiled the limited release of its PXG 0811 X and X+ Tour Prototype Drivers as well as announcing that the company has restocked their inventory of essential face masks.
A limited-number of the brand’s 0811 X and X+ Tour prototype drivers are being made available for purchase which the company claims is “predicated on the response from the company’s tour players during early testing and the desire to get additional feedback from the golf community.”
The 0811 X driver features a low center of gravity and is a lower spin option designed for players with more level or downward attack angles. The 0811 X+ is a mid-center of gravity, mid-spin option and is aimed at players with upward attack angles. Per the company, both models are engineered to deliver faster ball speeds, more distance and more forgiveness.
Speaking on the decision to release a limited number of the drivers to the market, Bob Parsons stated
“We’re excited to offer a limited number of our 0811 X and X+ Tour Prototype Drivers to PXG’s customers. We believe we’ve created something special and are looking forward to getting feedback from average golfers, like myself, in the coming weeks.”
The 0811 X Proto driver is available in a 9-degree loft option and the 0811 X+ in 10.5-degrees. Only right-handed clubheads are available for the tour prototypes. For more information or to schedule a fitting in person or over the phone you can visit www.PXG.com.
Last month, PXG released a cloth face mask designed to help prevent the spread of germs in response to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. In less than a week, PXG sold out their inventory, raising more than $25,000 for Team Rubicon in support of their Covid-19 mission.
A replenishment order has now been placed for the Essential Face Mask with the hopes of raising a six-figure sum, and the masks should be available for distribution “on or around May 15, 2020”, according to PXG.
