Seamus Golf has announced that they are temporarily halting their everyday business and making free masks for primary care physicians, nurses and first responders to help deal with the current Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.

30% OFF SITE WIDE // Sometime today, our Co-Founder Megan will be provided with more information on the actual design tech pack and materials to be used. We are proud of our team. They took the time to design a mask and figured out how many we can make. 5,000 in three days with our 10 sewers sewing if it were the design above. Our team is well accustomed to working on projects we’ve never worked on before. Some of our team learned to sew at SEAMUS, thus it is possible that we could to increase our workforce if that need presented itself. In the meantime, we will continue to offer a 30% site wide to all customers until we are making masks. Having taken serious steps to ensure Social Distancing, we now truly believe we are in a position to help. #farandsure

In an email to customers, Seamus Golf explained that they currently do not possess the N95 material used in respirators that filter out approximately 95% of airborne particles but are hoping to gain access to the material soon. The company also said that medical members who have got in touch have revealed that “what we are making is better than what they are resorting to use.”

The company, who have taught some members of their staff to sew, also stressed that they are in position and prepared to increase their workforce if the need was to present itself.

Primary care physicians, nurses and first responders can avail of the masks by emailing the company at masks@seamusgolf.com.

I am proud of my NW friends. These guys make the coolest covers, I own 2 already. Seeing them do this for our front-line support has made me a customer for life.

Charles Barkley reveals his solution to ensure golf’s successful fan-less return

Published

on

@justinriley7

Fresh from his entertaining role in the booth for Sunday’s The Match: Champions for Charity, basketball legend Charles Barkley appeared on the “Dan Patrick Show” on Tuesday where he discussed his primary idea to help tour golf make a triumphant return next month.

Just like at Medalist on Sunday, Barkley revealed that mic’d up players and allowing members of the broadcast to have on-course interaction with them is key to keeping viewers entertained during the sport’s spectator-less return.

“If you’re not going to have fans, you can’t just have guys playing golf and announcers talking. If they’re going to be successful and have great ratings – number one, they’re going to have great ratings because we need golf, we need sports – I think they should consider mic’ing the players.”

5-time major champion and golf analyst Nick Faldo is already onboard with Barkley’s idea, tweeting that he feels that tour pros wouldn’t object to it either before adding “this could be huge”.

“I think more players will do this, and if they are happy with we analysts talking direct to them, this could be huge!”

Would you like to see players mic’d up and interacting with members of the broadcast during live tournament play, WRXers?

The DailyWRX: What’s buzzing on social media (5/26/2020)

Published

on

I hope everyone had a safe Memorial Day weekend—but we back to work and the golf season is in full blossom.

Here is what was a buzzin’ on the interweb.

Hmm…

I wonder who from the top sheet is a legitimate stick. My money is on Steph. I’ve seen him up close and the guy can get it around—meaning the guy can hit it all over the place and still shoot in the low 70s. That’s the mark of a player.

Thank you…

I get to work a dream job because you all fight to keep us safe. We are nothing without you.

If you were placing bets before the tee shots…

No one, I mean no one, bets on TW having the worst shot. Odds are 6.5 billion to 1.

The equation of comfy…

Torn ground + favorite t-shirt = kitty fur…I get it. I’m in. Where do I pay?

Public service announcement…

He split his pants. It’s Tom Brady. No amount of memes, Twitter posts, or IG things will make it anything. I was hoping the world would let that one go due to its LOWWWWWWWWW hanging fruit appeal. I mean I’m writing a “do not post”…post on it, What a world.

DM @johnny_wunder with non-Tom Brady tore his pants stuff.
