Bryson DeChambeau reaches insane 203 mph ball speed during Charity Challenge

Published

on

Bryson DeChambeau’s gym sessions appear to be paying off, as the 26-year-old filmed himself reaching 203 mph ball speed during a Charity Challenge on his social media.

The Californian was cheered on by his digital followers and looked thrilled to reach 201mph ball speed in his backyard before shocking even himself with his next effort that reached 203 mph – which he estimates would result in a 360-yard carry.

Check out the moment below.

DeChambeau leads the Tour in Driving Distance this year, averaging 321.3 yards off the tee which is up from 302.5 yards in 2019, and it looks as if the ‘golf scientist’ now has plenty more in the bag if he decides to go flat out.

The Charity Challenge, which saw DeChambeau’s followers challenge him to hit shots and ask questions for a donation, was live on the 26-year-old’s Twitch channel and helped raise $1000 for Feeding America.

Florida man sues Tiger Woods and Joe LaCava over incident at 2018 Valspar

Published

on

A Florida man is suing Tiger Woods and his caddie, Joe LaCava, claiming that the latter intentionally shoved him at the 2018 Valspar Championship causing him injury.

As first reported by the Tampa Bay Times, the Pasco County resident attempted to take a selfie with Woods on the par-3 13th hole during the third round of play at the Valspar where he alleges LaCava pushed him “causing him to stumble and fall into the crowd of spectators”, per the lawsuit.

Though the lawsuit does not go into specifics, it is claimed that the shove caused Brian Borruso to be hospitalized – both losing the ability to earn income and also aggravating an existing health condition. Borruso is looking for more than $30k for damages caused.

Borruso’s attorney, Josh Drechsel, stated that the PGA has refused to cooperate and claims that the incident has been caught on camera.

Woods has been named in the suit as LaCava was employed, managed or directed by him at the time and according to rule 10.3 of the USGA’s rules: “A player is responsible for his or her caddie’s actions both during a round and while play is stopped under 5.7a, but not before or after a round.”
