Today from the Forums: “Finally! I found my anti-left hybrid!”

Published

on

Today from the Forums we delve into a thread from ‘Mahamilto’ who has landed on an anti-left hybrid after plenty of searching. Per Mahamilto, he took a chance on Callaway’s “Apex with Catalyst HYB80 6.5, 2* flat” and amongst other things he is now hitting dead straight “225-235 missiles”. Along with the club, Mahamilto credits the decision to go two degrees flat for the anti-left discovery, and our members have been having their say.

Here are a few posts from the thread, but make sure to check out the entire discussion and have your say at the link below.

  • eRod v1.0: “Dang it. I loved my Apex, but my miss was a big left, so I got rid of it. Wish I knew you could get it flat when I ordered it last year. I loved the look of it at address, and it hit rockets. Oh well, I’m very happy with the G410 in flat setting. It’s been amazing for me so far.”
  • VictorValiant: “Callaway Mavrik Pro is anti-left hook. I loved the 4h so much I had to get a 3h. Love these hybrids.”
  • elwhippy: “My Ping 400 is anti-left. 17 degrees and easy to hit a controlled fade with. Also have a 22 degree 410. Flat lie, down to 21 and stiff shaft. Can be moved both ways. Hit the new Callaway Pro hybrid last month…as workable as an iron.”
  • Golf64: “When a customer came in complaining of the ‘hooks’ with a hybrid, the 3 I handed them were the Apex, G410, Titleist. After that, I would recommend a high lofted fairway. 5, 7, 9W are making a come back. After demoing one myself, I am a believer! Reviews are popping up on youtube on this subject.”

From the Forums: I need more forgiveness in my irons – Looking for recommendations

Published

on

In our forums, our members have been discussing the most forgiving irons currently on the market. WRXer ‘TheShark1’ is on the hunt for a new set of irons, saying:

“Currently gaming the Mizuno Pro 225’s but think I need more forgiveness in my irons. My well struck shots are real nice, but my mishits are not performing as good as I had hoped anymore. I really like hollow body irons so if I could find something more forgiving in a hollow body iron that would be great.

Open to any and all recommendations other than Ping. Can’t hit Ping irons at all.”

And our members have been sharing their best suggestions in our forum.

Here are a few posts from the thread, but make sure to check out the entire discussion and have your say at the link below.

  • AvidSwampThing66: “Another vote for the super forgiving and fast Paradym irons.   They look really good for being a GI iron.”
  • bobfoster: “I just went from MP20 MMCs to the new 245s in my scoring irons (just played my first round with them today). If you have a chance to try them, you might find them worth a serious look.”
  • vman: “Shoot me down, but spend the money on lessons.”
  • J_Tizzle: “i525s are great off the heel in my opinion.”
