Absolutely, he should get an invite. If stats showed that the only players who win tournaments are the top 60 golfers, then he should not get an invite. Obviously that’s not the case. The bottom line is that he beat the field of tournament professionals.

You are right. He is a total hack and will never be successful at Augusta where chipping is a priority. That low Am trophy from last year proves it. You probably have a bunch of those.

Because the Puerto Rico event is an opposite-field event (same week as a WGC event or a major), Viktor Hovland’s win does not give him an automatic invite to the Masters.
