Miura launches new TC-201 iron

Published

on

Miura Golf is adding to their already well-established line of forged irons with the introduction of the new TC-201 irons for 2020.

The TC-201 offers a look similar to the MB 101, which was released in late 2019, but adds additional forgiveness with a shallow cavity and more mass pushed to the perimeter of the club to boost MOI and increase launch in the longer irons. The appearance of the TC-201 was inspired by the Miura MG CB-1008 (an iron sold exclusively in Japan) and refined to complement the rest of the Miura line with an unmistakably clean look from address with minimal offset.

“The TC-201s are a cavity back five years in the making,”
-Hoyt McGarity, CEO of Miura Golf.

“They are a testament to the Miura family’s dedication to perfection in craftsmanship, and are the most anticipated Miura irons in recent memory.”

When it comes to Miura irons ,the company will never make claims about distance or ball speed in an attempt to win the retail club fitting launch monitor showdown between 7-irons. Instead, when you talk to the Miura family about the irons they produce, it’s about creating clubs that allow the golfer to feel everything and the endless pursuit of perfecting the craft of club building.

The new irons utilize Miura’s patented spin welding technique that assures the grain structure of every head, along with the bore of each hosel is absolutely perfect. For a forged iron, they offer substantial playability compared to other clubs in the category because of the modernized sole design that offers a slightly raised leading edge and camber to help with shots in varying turf conditions.

For Katsuhiro Miura’s sons Shinei and Yoshitaka, the TC-201 is a testament to the family’s principles of striving for constant improvement and building on a legacy rooted in Japanese manufacturing excellence.

Price and Availability

The TC-201 set runs 3-PW and retails for $300 per iron. The TC-201, along with all other Miura products can be found at authorized club fitters around the world or can be purchased fully assembled at www.Miuragolf.com.

as a long time fan, it’s disappointing to Miura pumping out clubs like TM. Clearly since being taken over, the company is trying to generate more revenue….so sad

Yup. People should not be fooled.
It’s just Miura by name. They signed a deal to let the Americans design their own and make some for them.
The ones you really are the MG ones, not these.
