Chris DiMarco calls Patrick Reed a cheater and a “d*ck” in social media rant

Published

on

On Sunday evening, former PGA Tour professional, Chris DiMarco, took to social media and unleashed an explicit rant directed at Patrick Reed following the Texan’s playoff defeat at the Sentry Tournament of Champions.

DiMarco brandished Reed a cheater and a d*ck as he posted a series of tweets criticizing the 29-year-old’s character.

DiMarco’s outburst comes after a spectator at the event screamed “cheater” after Reed had struck his birdie attempt during the third playoff hole at Kapalua.

In case you missed it, Reed was penalized two strokes for an infraction in a waste bunker during the Hero World Challenge.

Says the guy who berated our girl working in the proshop for not getting a free cart (all parents paid $25) when his kid was playing a tournament at our course back in 09′. He literally pointed to his golf bag with a FL Gator on it that we had on display and said “do you now know who i am”? After that incident, any respect I had for Chris was out the window.

Says the d*ck who anchors his putter and has a fireplace worthy of a d*ck.

At least when a spectator shouted out he took it on the chin, unlike the child Thomas.

Nothing says d*ck like a pack of virtue-signalling hyena hypocrites who cry that Reed cheats while pretending that they have never cheated. Yes, all golfers have cheated at some point. Did it really matter? Probably not. Reed took the penalty. Done. You want to know the definition of d*ck? Rory McIlroy. And a cheater too. Rory tried to cheat last year at WGC Mexico by standing on a cart path and make a chip-out swing through a tree to coerce a drop. Through a tree! Nevermind that. He’s the media darling. Regardless some people feel like they need to tear into others to make their own washed-up selves feel better. Right, Chris?

Reed is an amazing talent and player but he’s got a victim’s mentality and he’s a cheater. It’s not speculation. It’s on camera for the world to see whenever queried. All he had to do was own up to it and move forward but like a true sociopath he refused to accept any responsibility. And the fact that he has a history possessing questionable integrity doesn’t bid well for arguments that people are merely picking on him just because. Reed is a cheater.

Reed cant see sand behind the flange, or feel 1/2 inch on the take away. It looked like a beach. As long as there is some doubt…Reed deserve’s the benefit of the doubt. Camera view was behind the take a way…yet Reeds view was on top looking down blocked by 3in wedge flange…just sayn

These professional golfers have a level of feel and touch that is extremely precise. They can typically tell when they’re holding a club with 1/2 and 1/4 too much / too little loft. You’re telling me Reed couldn’t feel himself pushing sand away twice?! Also, the mound of sand behind the ball also looked completely different after the two practice swings.

He cheated, and he knew it.

Nothing says d*ck like that fake fireplace, tv above it,and taking a picture of said fireplace and tv to attach to a social media post calling the person on the tv a d*ck.

Did Reed cheat to win two (2) NCAA Championships at Augusta State? Two (2) NCAA Championships in a row? Cheated to win both?

People need to get over this Reed thing and move on. A couple years ago Lexi missed marked her ball on the green that looked obvious and i don’t remember anyone calling her a cheat. Reed violated a rule was assessed a penalty and moved on. There has been many people caught violating rules by TV and all were givin penalties and moved on. The golf channel loves to talk about his penalty. The thing of it is he violated a rule got penalized and moved on. I don”t need to here him say he was sorry. It’s over, forget about it.

I’m no fan of Patrick Reed, not because he has been caught cheating a number of times dating back to his college golf days, but because of his better-than-thou attitude. I don’t understand why he has to act that way. I thought originally it was because he was just a young kid who didn’t have a proper upbringing, but he’s 29 now. Time to grow up. That chip on his shoulder is bigger than his head and THAT’s pretty big to begin with, both literally and figuratively. He’s got a fabulous game, even when he doesn’t cheat, but his reputation has been ruined and he did it to himself. It’s such a shame to be that good and have a terrible rep. What a waste.

doug, what do you do for a living? make 50k at the local factory and sneak out to the muni once every two weeks when the kids are down and the wife isnt pissy? at least patrick reed is in a position where his rep matters.

According to the genius Jeremy….only people that have made a certain amount of money can have an opinion. And if you’re a factory worker? You definitely can’t comment about Patrick Reed the cheater. Jeremy, I hope you’re smarter than you appear.

A few years ago my then-middle school aged son and I were milling around the clubhouse at Crooked Stick near the end of the Sunday round of the BMW. Although the player’s exit was only a few feet away, we weren’t looking for autographs or really even paying much attention to who was leaving for that matter. We were waiting on some friends to meet us to leave the event. While waiting, Reed exited the clubhouse on his way to the parking lot. My son, who had his back to Reed, and I were the only patrons in the area. Reed tapped him on the shoulder as he walked by. He asked him if he’d enjoyed the day, how old he was, how his summer tournament season had gone, etc. The whole exchange took maybe 2 minutes. He had nothing to gain from this. Nobody else was around, no cameras. If he would’ve walked on by without noticing us we wouldn’t have thought anything of it. Does this mean I think Reed is a great guy, does it disprove all the other allegations levied at him in my mind? Of course not. What it does do, however, is convince me that whatever else Reed may be, there is more to him than what we see and hear.

Nice! I love hearing these kinds of stories. We all make mistakes, like calling someone a ‘d*ck” on twitter or shoveling sand with a wedge, but it’s really about how or if we overcome those mistakes. I can tell you one thing I know for sure…name calling never helps anyone. Surely there’s a better way to articulate your point. Then again, that comment came from a guy who named his first born son Christian. Way to go DiMarco, thanks revealing your true character.

Finally someone said it. Seriously how can anyone defend Reed anymore? It is one incident after another.

His doing mistakes since College and seems to never learn from them. One thing after another and he dosen’t seem to have an honest bone in is body. A shame for the sport of golf.

Reid is a cheater. You can tell in the interviews he is trying not to be a conceded dick but he doesn’t hide it well. Dude can win when the stakes are high in team competition, but integrity is everything.

Pew Poll shows international respect for US President has dropped from 64% with Obama
to 30% with Trump. Lies more than 15,000 documented times in three years.

GolfWRX Classifieds Spotlight (05/29/20): Ping, Byron Morgan, Mizuno Copper!

Published

on

At GolfWRX, we love golf equipment plain and simple

We are a community of like-minded individuals that all experience and express our enjoyment for the game in many ways. It’s that sense of community that drives day-to-day interactions in the forums on topics that range from best driver to what marker you use to mark your ball, it even allows us to share another thing – the equipment itself.

One of the best ways to enjoy equipment is to experiment and whether you are looking to buy-sell-or trade (as the name suggests) you can find almost anything in the GolfWRX BST Forum. From one-off custom Scotty Cameron Circle T putters, to iron sets, wedges, and barely hit drivers, you can find it all in our constantly updated marketplace.

These are some of the latest cool finds from the GolfWRX BST, and if you are curious about the rules to participate in the BST Forum you can check them out here: GolfWRX BST Rules

Member BassCatchr77 – Ping i500 / iBlade combo set

They might look like blades all the way through the bag, but this is not your average combo set. Ping i500s are some of the hottest hollow irons on the market and the iBlades are way more forgiving than they appear. This is like a sneaky speedster family sedan with 500HP under the hood.

To see the full listing and additional pictures check out the link here: Ping Combo Set

Member Ngin24 – Byron Morgan Milled Putter

Most people know the big names when it comes to milled putters, and although Byron Morgan hasn’t yet broken into the mainstream doesn’t mean he doesn’t make an awesome putter! This is a milled Anser shape with clean lines and no alignment aid on top – they don’t get cleaner than this.

To see the full listing and additional pictures check out the link here: Byron Morgan Putter

Member DirtyBirdie2 – Copper Mizuo MP 20’s

This is one of 500 sets released worldwide and safely being stored in their original box. The asking price might seem high but when you consider the rarity of these irons ( and how freakin’ cool they look ) can you really put a price on them?

To see the full listing and additional pictures check out the link here: Copper Mizuno Irons

The Match Pt. 3 – The perfect candidates to pair up with Tiger and Phil

Published

on

@championstour

After Sunday’s hugely successful The Match: Champions for Charity, golf fans are already demanding for the third instalment to complete the Tiger Woods vs Phil Mickelson trilogy.

Whether it’s athletes from other sports, current LPGA stars or celebrities, there’s been plenty of names touted to pair up with Tiger and Phil, and here’s a rundown of some of the biggest contenders to tee it up for The Match Pt. 3.

Sporting Greats

Michael Jordan

A sporting superstar, an avid golfer and a high roller gambler – the world would tune in for MJ. If The Match 3 wants to go in the same direction as the second instalment then landing MJ would be a massive coup, and during an interview with Dan Patrick this week, Phil said he wants him involved.

  • Handicap: 1.9

Steph Curry

One of the biggest NBA players in the game, serial golfer and a man who has done some incredible things for the game of golf to help the sport grow. Curry has already teed it up on the formerly known Web.com Tour, and he has the game to hold his own in this contest.

  • Handicap: 0.1

Tony Romo

The former Cowboys QB loves his golf and provided plenty of highlights when he teed it up last year at the PGA Tour’s Safeway Open. Romo has a natural flair for the mic, and he’s already shown he’s not afraid to mix it with the pros.

  • Handicap: +0.3

LPGA Stars

Lexi Thompson

I’d love to see more mixed events, and if The Match 3 is to involve LPGA players, then Lexi Thompson has to be involved. Arguably the most recognizable face on the LPGA Tour, Thompson would be a great addition with her power game, blessed with the ability to hit both bombs and hellacious seeds – the perfect fit for the event.

Danielle Kang

The World Number 5 in the world, and Danielle Kang’s star is on the rise. Not only can she play, but she’s not afraid to talk the talk too. She may not have “made the Europeans cry” as she hoped at the 2019 Solheim Cup, but that likely wouldn’t hold her back from trash-talking either Tiger or Phil.

Nelly Korda

The 21-year-old may not have a major to her name just yet, but her number 2 ranking shows she’s close to breaking through. America’s highest-ranked player and one of the longest hitters on the LPGA Tour.

Celebrities

Larry David

As comics go, Larry David is difficult not to love. He may not be the best golfer in the world, but the humor he would bring to the event would more than compensate for any suspect shots.

  • Handicap: 15

Bill Murray

A golf icon in his own right, Bill Murray is seen annually entertaining the crowds at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, and his golf game is very solid too. He’d be a popular choice, and there’s no chance the occasion would get the better of him.

  • Handicap: 7.2

Ray Romano

Just like Murray, Ray Romano loves his golf and is seen annually at Pebble Beach during the Tour’s Pro-Am. His game may not hold up as well as Murray, but his entertainment value would more than make up for that.

  • Handicap: 17

WRXers, who do you want to see tee it up with Tiger and Phil for ‘The Match Pt. 3’?

Let us know what you think!
