i think the phrase Steve was looking for was Sandbelt courses. Famous for a number of quality courses in Melbourne’s sandbelt area which include Royal Melbourne, Commonwealth, Kingston Heath & Metropolitan Golf Clubs to name a few. A great weeks worth of golf.

PS. here’s an idea for quicker play. If your on the green u can pick up and walk off with two putts on your score. if u choose to putt, after the first putt u have to complete putting out, thereby bringing in a possible three putt.
