Anyone who doesn’t need the offset won’t be using the UT irons anyway.

Care to explain why it’s not true? Gary Woodland didn’t use it in the US Open he won this year. There’s an equipment post (July 1) about him putting a new Wilson 2-iron in his bag. I have to set up the club face uncomfortably wide open on the ones with such deep offset or I would hook like there’s no tomorrow.

Golf Avenue Find of the Day: Nike T60 fairway wood

Published

on

At GolfWRX, we have partnered with Golf Avenue to offer our readers additional value on trade-ins, as well as discounts on used clubs, because if there is anything golf gear heads love, it’s tinkering and testing—both new and old equipment.

Golf Avenue is one of the largest online retailers for used clubs, and with that, there are lots of great deals, and fun clubs to be found, and since we like gear just as much as you—we’re doing some digging for you.

The find of the day – Nike T60 5 Wood

The key feature of the T60 fairways wood is a 60-gram tungsten plug on the sole to lower the center of gravity, increase launch, and boost forgiveness. This particular club has outstanding project potential since the head is in great shape, and it is currently shafted with a stock Nike “ladies” flex.

You can find this club for purchase now at Golf Avenue: Nike T60 Fairway Wood.

Be sure to use the link: GolfWRX.com/GolfAvenue to find out more details of our partnership!

From KiwiNick

“It’s taken me nearly two years to land on a #witb that feels fairly permanent. I sometimes add a 2H (Apex 19, 18*) when it’s really blowing outside as the 5W can lose a little distance off the tee into the breeze.

One of my favorite clubs is the 58* PM Grind. I’ve never played with a wedge that was so good from dry sand and mid – deep rough. If you haven’t tried one, you need to demo it. Phil is on to something with these wedges.

The other revelation has been the Tensei Blue AV X flex shafts. I fight a draw that can turn into a low spin hook if my strike heads to the toe. The Tensei Blue is so linear in the way it loads and unloads that I can swing at 110-115mph and have more than enough to make the shaft work. The combo in driver and 3w (which is used 95% as a tee club) has lifted my ‘fairways found’ stats dramatically!”

Get submitting your WITB in our forum as we’ll be publishing more and more of them on our front page over the coming days and weeks.

Feel free to make it your own too by including some thoughts on your setup, your age, handicap, etc. Anything you feel is relevant!
