Why was it great? Mizuno’s MP-32 iron
This video series brings to light why certain clubs maintain such a cult following and what made them so popular to begin with.
This is about the Mizuno MP-32, an iron set that is as beautiful as it is functional. From the cut muscle to the sole design, equipment expert Ryan Barath breaks down some of the many design attributes that still make this a great club today (and a great value for those looking for a Japanese forged iron)

Mitsubishi Diamana WB: What you need to know + club build, on-course testing
GolfWRX’s Resident Club Junkie, Brian Knudson, was naturally excited to get his hands on Mitsubishi’s new Diamana WB shaft.
In this video, BK gives you a brief overview of the new WB, builds up a driver, and takes it to the course for some testing.
With the rebirth of the iconic Whiteboard profile, Mitsubishi didn’t just re-issue a classic, but rather infused all the company’s latest tech into a new shaft, paying homage to the original with its quintessentially Hawaiian-inspired stylings. A summary of that impressive roster of technology, below.
- 80-ton Dialead pitch fiber: Positioned in the handle, Dialead is designed to deliver greater ball speed via better energy transfer.
- Aerospace-grade MR70 carbon fiber adds additional strength, and 46-ton fiber in angle plies in the tip section reduce torque for tighter shot dispersion.
- Consistent Feel Design: Engineers target minimal variance across shafts (butt OD, weight, and balance point) to make the fitting process easier.
- Xlink Tech Resin System: Engineers continue to reduce resin content and increase carbon fiber volume for greater feel without sacrificing strength and durability.

Had a set of MP32 3-pw. Loved them. Played them in my 50’s. Felt I needed a more forgiving iron in my 60’s. Bought MPX825 Mizuno. What a mistake. Miss my MP32. Am now 70. Only play 1 or 2 times a week. Wish I did not trade in the MP32

Had the 3-6 in MP-32s and the MP-37s in full set usually using the 7-PW. Honestly liked the MP-37s more, but both great clubs. I think people oversell how unforgiving these clubs are. Unless you really miss badly, you can easily play these today.

The purpose of the cut muscle was to move the CG such that the sweet spot went from slightly toward the heel to the middle of the face. Some people percieve that to be more forgiving when really it just fully rewards you for hitting the center.

Hi there – love this iron! Please can you do a review on why the Callaway X Prototype irons / Razr MB are still relevant…. Thanks

Great video and enjoyed it. Gonna try and find a set or maybe 33’s or 60’s, 69’s. Cannot beat Mizzy and these great finds at a low cost. Thanks GolfWrx for great content.

Because it was a cavity back and not a muscle back, and a decent amount of offset, that’s why

Disagree on the cavity back assessment. All muscle. Like butter when pureed.

A decent amount of off set? I never noticed. These are my favorite golf clubs of all time.

First off that head of hair!! Lucky F-er haha. Anyways got a set of the “sister” clubs to those the MP-60 and even though they are a back up set ill never get rid of them. Awesome clubs and yea the PW is a tad round but it blends well with other wedges
