In this video, Tyler Wong, PGA Director of Player Development at NW Golf Academy at Sah-Hah-Lee Golf Course in Clackamas, Oregon, continues to show you the first steps you should take to get your child started in golf. (If you missed the first video on “getting started,” you can watch it here)

Everyone is swinging the golf club faster now! Juniors are no different! Once you have created some ball flight success with your little golfer, we need to get them to hit it hard! Initially, I like to take the golf club out of their hands. I use Superspeeds to do this. I also use a swing speed monitor. The goal is to get them to move the club as fast as possible. Once they can do that, now we can get them under control a little bit. The 1-2-3 Drill is great for kids to learn speed and balance at the same time!
