The research on Quiet Eye (QE) has been an interesting development in sport psychology in recent years. The Quiet Eye (QE) refers to the final fixation of eye movement at least 100 milliseconds prior to movement. Longer QE duration is exhibited by experts in comparison to non-experts.

We can also measure QE with tools like the Focus Band but how do we train it? Liam Mucklow has been doing his own research in his lab in Canada and found great results with a ping pong catching protocol using a ping pong robot. We use it now to increase our players’ ability to focus and also improve their hand-eye coordination.

The joke about this place is, even though he’s talking about focus and all that, the place blasts music from the speakers so loud all day every day, even in the fitting and lesson areas, it’s hard to concentrate. The place is a joke. Bunch of yahoo wannabes work and go there and think they’re doing something special when all they do is distract you with music and other annoying things like shouting loudly over the music while standing right next to you

Published

on

Learn what the right amount of “shoulder turn” is for you so you can maximize your efficiency factor in your swing. Not enough shoulder turn will prevent a proper weight shift and loading of momentum for the downswing and too much will throw the whole swing off of center and cause unnecessary strain in the transition! What could you focus on so you can consistently get the right proportion of turn for yourself?
