Return of the mock: Tiger Woods’ 2019 Masters scripting
Tiger Woods’ scripting for next week’s Masters Championship has been unveiled on social media, and the 43-year-old will wear mock neck shirts each day of the event as he goes in search of major championship number 15.
Golfweek’s David Dusek got the scoop and posted the image of the shirts Woods will wear at Augusta next week, as well as images of additional Nike footwear (it’s unlikely Woods will don the Nike Tour Premier shoes pictured because, well, he doesn’t deviate from the TW71 or wear anything other than solid white or black footwear).
This is @tigerwoods @Nike scripting for next week’s #Masters and a Masters edition of the Tour Premiere. Notice that Tiger will be wearing mock necks in every round. pic.twitter.com/Oxw4Bp3DT3

Here’s an additional look at the TW Vapor Mock polos, via Nike. Woods is also expected to wear the custom TW pant he’s sported for the past couple of seasons, as well as the TW Aerobill Classic 99 hat.
What do you think of Woods’ Masters gear, WRXers?

Spotted: Project X Denali hybrid shaft
Project X’s Denali wood shafts have been seen in more and more golf bags this year as we start off the season. As a refresher, Denali Blue is the mid-launch and mid-spin model while Denali Black is for players seeking lower launch and spin.
Denali combines great feel with stability and increased ball speed. Currently, Project X only offers Denali Blue and Black in wood shafts, but we spotted a hybrid shaft in Daniel Berger’s bag at the 2024 Zurich Classic.
The shaft looks to be a Denali Blue 105G – HY in TX flex. No word on details from Project X yet but we can assume that this is a mid-launching shaft that weighs around 105 grams in Tour X-Stiff flex.
Berger has this shaft in his TaylorMade P770 3-iron, likely for some added launch and spin to hold the green from longer distances.
Hopefully, this means we will see some more shafts coming under the Denali name in the future, as I think many of us would like to try one in a hybrid or utility iron!

Mocks work super well and look great as a cold-weather workout/sports base-layer, but as a main layer look sloppy and just out-of-tune.

From the super-baggy late 90’s early 00’s, to the mock turtle, to the pleated pants, to the leather belt with silver buckle, to the staid black or white shoes, Nike could not have signed a more boring, traditional player to market their otherwise advertised cutting-edge & modern athletic apparel.

Always thought he was extremely well dressed, so of the best on tour, but never been a fan of a mock collarless shirt, save save those for the gym.

Hate the mock and the blade collars, but then again I am not paying anything near full boat for a shirt so I am not who they are after.
