For the regular golfer, getting fit for single length irons would be a long and expensive process, it would be pointless to buy off the rack single length irons. That is why the other major oem companies are not offering their irons in single length. Bryson obviously can and it works for him.. I think that single length irons would be very beneficial for the majority of amateur golfers, I would definitely like to give it a try.

The fitting process is no longer than it is for traditional irons. What you’re really saying is that getting fit is harder than buying right off the rack. Yes, it is. Which is why most clubs are sold that way and most golfers are playing with sticks that actually hold them back–no matter at what level they play.

Safe bet with his type of swing that driver loft is much higher at impact…amazing how little rotation of the club face in his swing…I bet he has trained himself to the point his club face is square to the target from setup to impact…very square to square with high hands of Moe Norman setup and huge body turn away and back…..just looks like it hurts…

99% of all golfers worldwide cannot play his 7º Cobra F9 driver. It’s uncontrollable at low clubhead speeds. Keep deluding gearhead geeks.. lol

Same comment as previous article there, Al. Which driver can the 99% hit?

      Is it 7* or 9* ???
The top photo says it’s set on 7* and in the second photo it’s set to 9* ???
That’s if you actually believe that it is possible to change the loft of any adjustable driver !

They’re both set to 7 degrees on the “MyFly” setting.

Every review has been very positive on the new Cobra driver. I’d like to try one of those grips on my driver and hit a SIK putter…but no retailers sell them that I am aware of.

I saw Bryson hit it around The Australian in our Open C’ship a few years back, and his ball striking was just as good as anyone’s – including Adam Scott & Rory & Jordan Spieth! No way I’m using single length clubs (I love my MP-68s), but if it works for him, that’s great. Good to see someone with different ideas sticking it to the establishment!

Is this his first tournament with the F9 driver?
This dudes going to become Cobras new poster child. No hate on Bryson i just wish Mr. Fowler would turn it up.

WHO DAT? Dat boy De-sham-bo done did it agin!

Let the Bryson hating begin. But know that all of us single-length players are loving it.

Yeah but the difference is, you don’t have Jumbo Max grips on your clubs and you still can’t hit your driver straight so what’s the point of the single length for you, you idiot

The point is it works for him and he likes to golf with them you idiot.

I’m sorry for your unhappiness, CaoNiMa. I hope you get past it soon.

What’s the perfect mini-driver/shaft combo? – GolfWRXers discuss

Published

on

In our forums, our members have been discussing Mini-Drivers and accompanying shafts. WRXer ‘JamesFisher1990’ is about to purchase a BRNR Mini and is torn on what shaft weight to use, and our members have been sharing their thoughts and set ups in our forum.

Here are a few posts from the thread, but make sure to check out the entire discussion and have your say at the link below.

  • PARETO: “New BRNR at 13.5. Took it over to TXG (Club Champ but TXG will always rule) in Calgary for a fit. Took the head down to 12, stuck in a Graphite Design AD at 3 wood length and 60g. Presto- numbers that rivaled my G430Max but with waaaaay tighter dispersion. Win.”
  • driveandputtmachine: “Still playing a MIni 300.  The head was only 208, so I ordered a heavier weight and play it at 3 wood length.  I am playing a Ventus Red 70.   I play 70 grams in my fairways.  I use it mainly to hit draws off the tee.  When I combine me, a driver, and trying to hit a draw it does not work out well most of the time.  So the MIni is for that. As an aside, I have not hit the newest BRNR, but the previous model wasn’t great off the deck.  The 300 Mini is very good off the deck.”
  • JAM01: “Ok, just put the BRNR in the bag along side a QI10 max and a QI10 3 wood. A load of top end redundancy. But, I have several holes at my two home courses where the flight and accuracy of the mini driver helps immensely. Mine is stock Proforce 65 at 13.5, I could see a heavier shaft, but to normal flex, as a nice alternative.”
