GolfWRX’s Resident Club Junkie, Brian Knudson, was naturally excited to get his hands on Mitsubishi’s new Diamana WB shaft.
In this video, BK gives you a brief overview of the new WB, builds up a driver, and takes it to the course for some testing.

- Aerospace-grade MR70 carbon fiber adds additional strength, and 46-ton fiber in angle plies in the tip section reduce torque for tighter shot dispersion.
- Consistent Feel Design: Engineers target minimal variance across shafts (butt OD, weight, and balance point) to make the fitting process easier.
- Xlink Tech Resin System: Engineers continue to reduce resin content and increase carbon fiber volume for greater feel without sacrificing strength and durability.

Dont do a bunch of stamping myself but paintfil is fun to play with during the long drug out michigan winters. I too use nail polish and always feel kinda funny asking women in the nail polish isle which ones are the most durable. Actually a decent way to start conversations with random women….. I also usually turn the part im cleaning the excess off upside down that way if i have too much remover it doesnt get down into the spots i want to keep paint in.

Is this what the game of golf has come to? Stamping silliness on wedges for showing off and stupid yuks? Childishness taken to the extreme by incompetent gearhead flops.

Why this custom stamping craze on wedges? Is this to imitate the pros? Or is it to satisfy the inner child that resides in adult men on the golf course? Or is it just another stupid fad so that duffers have something to compare and talk about.

Interesting, but how about something useful like how to sharpen your grooves; i.e. what tools are used, are there rotary bits available, etc

Forget stamping and just use a Sharpie to scrawl your fancy customized wedge ego statement.

Johnny— Kinda what I do scrawl on all the lead tape on the back with a Sharpie. Seriously I have stamped a few for the heck of it. One thing I do different is I hold my stamp with a pair of medium sized vice grips. That way you have the orientation of the letter correctly and do not hit your fingers. But in all seriousness if someone wants stamped wedges more power to them. Me it does not do any good since I use so much lead tape

I prefer the U.S. Postal Service stamp set… mint stamps for collectors.

Nice tip about the metal plate. Been doing it on my wooden work bench, and do have to hit harder/sharper to get a good stamp.
Using nail polish to color-fill is not so much a problem for stamp on back of the clubface, But I do find that enamel paints (like from hobby store, for model cars, etc) last better if stamping on sole of the club (near the club number, I like to put wedge bounce number there). Nail polish will chip and flake off from the ground abuse, but the enamel hobby paint seems to last longer.

I want my wedges custom stamped to express my feeelings for my clubs and to show off my unique clubs in my WITB arsenal of weapons. I want to talk about my stamped wedges with my golfing buddies and to show off how pretty they are to look at… just like the pros do.

I get my nail polish from Target at a dollar a bottle and it works just fine. I got 7 bottles.
